What are Cubans? Never heard of them.

I told myself I was going to start doing those cubans as well.
You hold a light bar (or dumbells) pull it to your chest like an upright row and then slowly rotate at the elbow till the bar is overhead and do a press. Then slowly reverse the motion. We did sets of 10 a couple times a week.

777. Thanks to you for starting this thread. I found it after a couple of years and it’s great.
I finish grasshopper in 5 days. I take long term breaks. I wanted to train up and acclimate myself to the program. It’s been great. Im stronger and my body composition is better and I’m motivated to keep going.
I bought pump city and s&j.
Basically my question is hypertrophy or pump city for size. Im definitely open minded on other suggestions. The plan was to do these and move into pool seasons

pump city is very good if you want to change it up to push, pull, legs...you can kinda control how you set it up by repeating days etc. i like it
hypertrophy is more overall size, PC is more bodybuilding style

Stacked and Jacked will put more size on you than any of his programs IMO if that is what you are looking for right now. They are super intense 1 hour long sessions 4x per week though so gotta have the time carved out for it.

Has anyone run the Sport Strength program? Been wanting to add some more explosive lifts and conditioning into my training. I bought it and plan on starting in 2 weeks when I finish up Oak Tree Remastered. Feeling strong coming off of Mass that Last and Oak Tree. Going to GPP some OH squat and light cleans the next 2 weeks in my warm up to prepare. Background is in college football so hoping it will be like riding a bike on some of these olympic lifts.

Started pool season II this week. I’m already beat 2 workouts in. Going to be a challenging 4 weeks but really like the program set up.

im not a big olympic lift guy anymore(still like cleans because they are fun) so i havent done it but I have it and its a very good program.
i would recommend starting with clean the house, then strong and fast AF then sport strength
it will be a gradual ramp up in volume that away.

Know this is an older post but Oak Tree has been the strongest I have ever felt on the big 3 with any of his plans

Just ordered Arm Farm based on multiple suggestions on here. As soon as I finish Mass that Lasts for my second time I’ll dive in. Pool season II will follow again

Between oak tree and Mass that lasts, which did you prefer?
I'm coming off BF2 and want something a little more all around focused and less targeted.

From a purely getting stronger perspective, Oak Tree might take the cake as my favorite PPSA program I have done so far. If you approach it with intent on getting stronger it is great. I have definitley put on size in the 5 weeks doing it too. I have run it as both a 4 day and 3 day split depending on my travel schedule for work and seen great results both ways. You get up in the 90s in percentage for squat, bench, and DL so I would use this program as a way to maybe go for a new max and peaking strength if you are in that mode currently. Super strong and solid program!
Mass that Lasts is set up a little differently than most of the PPSA programs and I enjoyed the varying intensity based on the day. Monday and Thursdays you hit all of the big compound lifts and thats basically it. Tuesday and Friday you hit all the accessory movements in form of super sets and get a great pump. There is also 2 deload days in Mass that Lasts I dont think have seen that in a PPSA program. This one is worked best as a traditional 4 day split. I really enjoy both and will add both to my rotation now. Hope that helps

Have you ran Big Back Billy? I haven't ran Mass that Lasts, but I have completed the original Oak Tree a few times as well as several others. Big Back Billy is one of my favorites (if not the favorite).
4 day/week
M/W - Deadlift/Bench
T/Th - Snatch Deadlift/Back Squat
Also has a good mix of accessories every day.

I bought it when it was released but I dont think I ever actually ran it yet. Appreciate the recommendation I will consider it this summer! I plan on starting Sport Strength next week and that will be my next 9-10 weeks. I havent seen really any posts about this one so I will keep you all updated on how it is.

Anybody run stronger than a garlic milkshake yet?

Oak Tree, Big Back Billy, and Pool Season are my three favorites that give a good mix of everything. I feel like you could just rotate those three year round and be covered. I like FOTH, but it's really light on legs.
Only program I remember not liking was 70's big, but I just looked at it in my binder and think it would be good to run again, not sure why I didn't like it. Maybe because it mixed things up so much it was hard to see progress over them month. I've got silverback printed out but have never run it. Just looks like a more basic version of big back billy to me.
