That is the greatest college football team of all time. I don't know if it's possible to argue against it anymore, especially when you consider the fact that guys like Trey Palmer, Jaray Jenkins, and Josh Williams who have all had great college careers didn't even have to really contribute that season.

You combine that group with what 2019 Bama put in the league and you would have a playoff team and the best offense in the NFL. The amount of talent on the field that day was insane.

2019 Bama quite honestly is the second best CFB team I've ever seen, they just had the misfortune of having to play against us and also fell victim to the Jordan Hare voodoo.

A couple of months ago, someone had posted the amazing volume of players drafted from the 2019 SEC championship game with Georgia. I would really enjoy seeing that number updated, as it must be well over 60. SEC talent is crazy, having the most players drafted by a conference for 17 consecutive years.

And look at the balance. Literally 16 on offense, 16 on defense, and even 2 from special teams.

Add in the UDFA's and these are pretty amazing stats

You could take just the talent off of the 2019 LSU and Bama team and you would have a playoff team in the NFL.

They were certainly damn good. We were driving on all three of the first drives we had to start he second half and made a few minor mistakes cost us points and they never panicked and jumped back in the game. We score and again, they answered. Just a great game between two great teams.

A combined offense:

QB Burrow, Tua (an NFL starter in Jones is on the practice squad)

RB Najee Harris, Clyde, Brian Robinson (800 yds last year)

WR Chase, Jefferson, Devonta Smith, Waddle, Jeudy

TE Foristall, Moss

OL Cushunberry, Damien Lewis, Ed Ingram, Landon Dickerkson, Evan Neal (all 5 have started every game of their NFL career)
Leatherwood, Willis, Charles, Deculus

K Cade York

Amazing to think that what was on the field in 2019 would be better than what was on the field for the game in 2011. Back then, it would have been unthinkable.Defenses were absolutely stout in 2011, probably the only thing lacking was at QB. Offense in 2019 was video game worthy, though.

Agreed. Aside from Richardson and Lacy I feel like Bama did not have much NFL talent on their offense that year even though they did have guys who were good college players like Maze, McCarron and Christion Jones. LSU definitely had more pro talent that season considering we had OBJ, Jarvis, Shepard, and Randle at receiver we just were too inept to utilize it in the game that shall not be named.

Not having Tua had a lot to do with that Jordan-Hare VooDoo. Still scored 45 on an Auburn team that we struggled in the red zone against (though we dragged them up and down the field between the 20s.)

An all time great team just wow. I was in shock at how undisciplined Alabama looked against them. Put the fear of God in their eyes. Loved watching them beat the taters and letting the world know LSU has the real Death Valley. That said, are they better than the '01 Canes?

Did nobody seriously draft or sign Garner as an UDFA? How?

Simply put the main difference between LSU and Bama in 2011 was coaching. I don’t care who you have, not passing the 50 yard line was embarrassing.

Just for fun, here would be the starters if that team were a full NFL team.

QB- Burrow
RB- CEH/TDP
WR- Chase
WR- Jefferson
WR- Marshall
TE- Moss
OT- Charles
LG- Lewis
C- Cush
RG- Ingram
OT- Deculus

DE- Chassion
DT- Farrell
DT- Ika
DE- Lawrence
LB- Phillips
LB- Queen
CB- Stingley
CB- Fulton
CB-Flott
FS- Delpit
SS- Ward

Weaknesses would be tackle and pass rush but that could easily be a playoff team. What a great team
