Some people don't like the hire. Kiffen is a great offensive coach. But I just can't see him as a raw raw type of coach. Hiring coach O was a great move and a steal for 100 k.

The only downside to O is all the baggage. He was an elite recruiter (at least in the old system) and remains an outstanding defensive line coach.

I think Coach O would have done it for free. Man just wanted to be around football. That chance with a school he loves is icing for him.
The $100k will likely go up next year after this trial run and a good season. Coach O playing the long game in getting his bank account right.

I hated the hire as HC. In 2019 he made me look like a fool. Then after that he confirmed my fears. I was one of his biggest haters, but I am glad to have him back in this role. Having elite recruiters, regardless of NIL or not, is always a plus.

I bet this is O’s dream job now. He had the head gig and won it all. Now he can kick back and recruit for the school he loves and in turn we will all love him again. Geaux Tigahs!
