Guidry wasn’t good the first time through a lineup. We weren’t a good when Evans and Moore were healthy.

Guidry was being asked to do more than he could. Go look at his game logs and see how much better he has been in his career when he only had to go one inning vs extending beyond that.

Moore had one bad start on a stupid carpet mound at Vanderbilt.

We weren't great, but losing 6 innings a weekend in college baseball is devastating.

Jay said he was hurt that weekend and tried to go vs OU from what I remember reading. He had already had tightness.
Per Moore himself.

The Kansas transfer suffered an injury to his right arm, which left him sidelined in late March and required surgery. “I was in the weight room after my third start, and I got hit right in between my elbow and forearm," Moore said. "It kind of was a bone bruise. It felt fine when I would throw and then every start, it just kind of lingered and lingered. The recovery to get back to 100 percent just wasn’t the same.”

Moore said he injured himself in the weight room the week before that.

These guys pitched with a lot less pressure last year. They also had to keep them in longer because the guys behind them struggled to throw strikes.
