LSU sold out of tickets in less than 5 minutes this year for students leaving so many ppl with no tickets. Thanks to LSU for letting in 10 thousand freshman this year.

Heard the same. Thousands of students did not get tickets. Assuming enrollment is at an all time high?

I'm not comprehending this statement too well.

Just purchase a single in NEZ & sit in student section

This thread is posted every year. I remember a few years ago, some state representative filled a bill to make it guaranteed.
When I was a freshman in 2009, there was a window to apply. You got either series A or series B. They were more or less "equitable" in SEC/OOC games.
You could buy other student tickets (back when it was paper) usually relatively cheaply, I think the regular tickets were $12.
I am not sure how many tickets are allocated for students. Iy would be nice if they would do like some of the other schools and save parts of the upper decks (doesn't Arky setup bleachers in the top of the endzone for some games?).

My freshman year (2000) a book of tickets was $72 and you could just walk over to the athletic administration building to purchase it. Pretty sure I purchased it at freshman orientation.
Then Saban started winning shite and changed this forever.

It still wasn’t that expensive in 2010.
Don’t give Saban all the credit. I’d blame 2019 more than anything

I'm old enough to remember when all you had to do was show your ID at the student gate and you got in!
That changed in '84 after the Washington game where 83,000 showed up in a 78,000 seat stadium! The student section was so packed that every guy had a girl on his lap. GOOD TIMES!! Fire Marshall saw the attendance figures and said "Oh Hell No!" and they started issuing student tickets (which were free BTW)

Do the greeks still get reserved seating? In the early 90's, they couldn't fill the student section. By the late 90's some students figured out that they could form any kind of student group and buy reserved tix near the greeks. I knew a prick who bought a bunch of tickets that way and was scalping them to students. Pretty sure they put an end to that b/c it turned into a shite show.

They have sold out every year since 2004 after we won the first NC in a while. I was a freshman that year and got them, but only knew 1 other freshman that had them.
The used to release the by class level, so the older students got first dibs. I think they also started doing half seasons for freshman so more could get a least some tickets.

Based on your grammar, you need to focus more on school than football anyways. That’s what they’re telling you.

They need to open up Section 105 to students since it is mostly empty most games

I thought they did a lottery for freshmen.
Did they change that?
Where is the 10 thousand freshmen number coming from?

I have twin daughters coming in as freshmen. One got tickets to all the games and the other got none. Most of their friends got none. All or nothing seems like a bad way to do this.

Students should get priority; enough seats for every student. Then, the rest. It’s a “college” football team.

I have a Junior and Freshman and neither were able to get them.

Yep. Sat on steps for that Washington game. Luckily tickets were free the rest of my college tenure.
Co-worker has a daughter coming in to LSU; she got NO tickets despite waiting online and all that.

Just shows that the 80’s students were pussies and didn’t stand up the whole game.

That's a nice thought, but there are over 33,000 on-campus students. That's just not feasible or practical.

They should give out student tickets by halves. First half second half.
