Be careful "Hog Cracklin" will be here shortly all scorned and butt hurt calling you Derek, asking you if you have a binder and if you can let O know to meet him at sonic because he stole his gf 48 years ago in high school.

I don’t see how anyone is upset about paying a national championship winning head coach $100k/year to be on our staff.

The man wants to coach let him coach

Better than on someone else’s staff to recruit in Louisiana where he will always have ties

I agree. Im all For coach O being in staff for Dline/recruiting. He was basically still a paid employee still anyway. The big "FY" from Lane to the rest of these O haters that gave him raw deal 5 yrs ago is the icing.

He didn’t get a raw deal. Personally Scott should have let him have one more year and let him make personnel decisions instead of hiring shite head bo because fat boy Scott said so. However, despite losing complete control of the program he got paid by fat Scott so not really a raw deal.

Glad he is back though and doing what he is best at.

I’m thrilled with the addition of O to the staff.

However, this statement is not thought out very well. Would you want Jimbo on the staff, even if he’s volunteering? I wouldn’t, and most fans probably wouldn’t either.

O is different though. He’s a good DL coach, fantastic recruiter, and he’s going to be doing this job out of a deep genuine love for LSU. That’s the difference maker. He’s making $100k a year… now that’s good money for most of us, but for him, that puts him squarely in the fan status more than coach status, which I think will be great in the long run. We have the greatest LSU fan in history on the staff and he just so happens to have Kiffin’s trusted ear.

This could wind up being the best hire in program history. Again.

Can someone explain how he gets to be a recruiting coach? I thought all 10 spots were filled up on that. Is that something else college football just decided to ignore or is there a loophole?

The head coach position isn’t open at this time. There is no need for the propaganda machine to be cranked to this level already.

If Jimbo was in the shadow staff I don’t have a problem with it or if Jimbo was doing his specialty that’s fine. Jimbo calling plays would be different.

O is a much different animal though and Lane has him doing what O does best

Hey Derek, it’s been awhile. Remember when you sabotaged our coaching search in 2016? Good times. Hope your knees are doing well (I don’t). Come step foot on campus for the Clemson game and let me introduce you to two my friends that have wanted to get their “hands” on you for over a decade.

There will be some to bitch about his buyout but he is working for little to nothing now. The Hotel Maid staff in NYC just signed a new labor contract for more salary than O is getting...
