What also cracks me up is the fact that some people are surprised that American SJW's are sticking up for the Commies. That fact should shock no one.
Part of the reason the left hates the folks rioting in HK so much is that they are over there waving American flags as signs of freedom.
The reality is, SJWs here have the same ambitions that the Chines govt does there: they too want the ability to jail those who do not think like them. Their leaders in the US are now saying it directly.

Problem with a social media account is that it is an easy way to hang yourself if you just post whatever is on your mind.
Someone like Trump gets away with it because they are circumventing the normal media and speaking directly to the people, which means that the media can’t filter what he is saying nearly as much.

I mean that's pretty false. Reddit is filled with left leaning young people, and they have been supporting Hong Kong since the start.

Silver moves the All Star game in Charlotte because of social issues yet still participates in China who has far worse oppression. It’s because they have a billion dollar tv contract. I love SJWs who are hypocrites. This is also Silver’s fault because he encourages players speaking out on social issues rather than keeping opinions to themselves and alienating half the fan base.

We all agree reddit leans left. Go into any china thread on the main/popular subs and the overwhelming opinion is pro-HK and anti-China.
