Good news, everybody, we're extending arts and crafts time by four hours today.

My fingers hurt.

What's that?

My fingers hurt.

Oh, well, now your back's gonna hurt, 'cause you just pulled landscaping duty. Anybody else's fingers hurt?... I didn't think so.

There's 0 chance this is actually good unfortunately.

It will be just another addition to the very long list of extremely belated comedy sequels that disappoint everyone and are immediately forgotten.

I have a bad feeling about this. Like they will take something that was minor but funny about a character from the first movie but make it their whole personality in this one.

At least Adam Sandler should have creative control over everything, so I'll give it a chance...but with low expectations.

This has Dumb and Dumber To vibes...which was cool to see the characters 20-30 years later, but overall was forgettable.

the thing is I just don't know who this is really going to resonate with.

-The folks that were in that perfect sweet spot age of like 13-25 when the movie first came out are grown arse adults now. They may like the nostalgia of it but the type of humor is likley not going to land with the 40 year old version like ti did with their 20 year old self
-People that are now young aren't going to have any nostalgia for it so this is going to jsut be a regular 'ol comedy for them. Will it be funny enough on its own wtihout the self-referential stuff being able to carry it?

I'm sure I won' watch it so this doesn't affect my life in any way, but yeah...I don't see this doing well unless it's just a genuinely truly funny movie, which I highly doubt it will be.

good or bad - I will watch the shite out of it.

Stiller looks like he is still in disguise from Starsky and Hutch

Isn't Sydney Sweeney in it? Or was that just a rumor?

Wasn't Stiller's Happy Gilmore character supposed to be the male nurse at the beginning of Hubey Halloween who let out the Michael Myers ripoff character in that film?

Anchorman 2
Zoolander 2
Dumber and Dumber To
Coming to America 2
Bad Santa 2
Big Fat Greek Wedding 2
Super Troopers 2

All of these movies waited too long after the original and were not enjoyable IMO.

One of the few comedy sequels that was released a long time after the original that actually hit the mark for me was CLERKS II.

I’ll add the new Beverly Hills Cop

But I always say the unedited Anchorman 2 is actually funny

I still laugh at farts.
I still laugh at Dumb and Dumber.
I still laugh at Happy Gilmore. At no point in my life has someone said "my fingers hurt" and i not say "well now you're back's going to hurt, b/c you just pulled landscaping duty".
I still laugh at Billy Madison and many more, and I'd bet money i'll laugh at Happy Gilmore 2.
