This is one of my favorite comedies of all time. Plus, it's really well done. It's a very solid movie. There have been several SNL skits fail as full length movies but Coneheads isn't one of them. Plus, check out the all star cast. It may have the best comedic ensemble cast ever:

Dan Aykroyd, Jane Curtin, Adam Sandler, Chris Farley, David Spade, Michael McKean, Ellen DeGeneres, Sinbad, Phil Hartman, Jason Alexander, Parker Posey, Joey Lauren Adams, Michael Richards, Jan Hooks, Kevin Nealon, Julia Seeney, Tim Meadows, Eddie Griffin, Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner...

Wayne's World is better. Hell, Wayne's World 2 is better.

Some opinions are wrong. That is one of them.

I like Coneheads but Blue Brothers is the best SNL skit turned big screen.

Somehow, someone took a horribly shitty skit and made it into an even shittier movie. I guess, in some weird way, that's an impressive feat.

I never found the Coneheads skit funny. I don't find Dan Akroyd all that funny in general. He's good in more serious roles, like Trading Places.

Dan Akroyd was wonderful in Ghostbusters and Nothing But Trouble...

So, you've never seen The Blues Brothers?

(The Coneheads film was unwatchable for me.)

Several times. It's funny enough, but I don't think it's a GOAT comedy. Animal House is FAR better than Blues Brothers. Hell, I find Coneheads funnier than Blues Brothers.

On a good day, I probably agree with you. But, this is your thread baw, and Animal House most certainly was not an SNL skit (or sketch, probably the better term here).

Recall somewhere up the thread when someone said your opinion is wrong in this case? This is where you went wrong.

It's been awhile, but wasn't this just a ninety minute subway commercial where they tried to see how unfunny Chris Farley could be?

(He was still funny if I remember correctly, but it was in spite of their best efforts)

ive always liked The Ladies Man too.

obviously Waynes World is the best.

MacGruber and Roxberry are good too. Im not sure if it was an SNL movie or not, but Corky Romano has nostalgic value for me too.
