New episodes on Comedy Central.

A lot of the same characters are back but the writing doesn’t seem as good as I remember.

I watched the first two episodes and I have to agree. Nile Standish still makes me laugh. Yes Yes.

I read they aren't doing Special Ed at all though.

I never found the original to be that funny to be honest. It had its moments but it felt very fake / staged at times. At that time there were actual real live prank phone call shows like pranknet which were insanely good but later devolved into chaos unfortunately. I feel like they fed off of those prank call grass roots efforts then and failed then, as they will now.

This wasnt Crank Yankers

The original run of Crank Yankers was very hit or miss. There were some good ones but mostly bad ones. That's the thing though, the show wasnt scripted - the prank calls were real. That's why they recorded the show in Nevada to get around the legality of it. So if you didn't have a victim on the other end that was making for good content there wasnt much the prank caller could do to save it

No, that was the Jerky Boys, who were actually funny.

Bobby Fletcher paying the water bill was pretty classic.

Of course not. I'm surprised Spoonie Luv is back.

One of the best ones I remember was the Touch Tone Terrorists pretending to be UPS when someone called in looking for their package.

Watched a bit of the new one. Guy called a yoga studio to complain about an instructor named Gary (or some male name). The lady said they didn’t have a male instructor. Caller said he didn’t see gender. Barely even noticed height.

I thought that line was pretty clever, but the rest was just okay.
