Is this the best run in TV history?
When I am bored i watch a couple episodes on FX app from that range and its really amazing TV. No wasted scenes. Lots of subtle humor. Very few lazy dud episodes. Very rewatchable.

I'd even start a little earlier with S4, but yeah this has got to be one of the best runs in comedy history. Best in TV history? That's a stretch, not even sure how you'd compare across genres...but yes this run is absolutely up there all time. Outstanding TV.

It's just a little dirty, it's still good it's still good.
It's just a little wet, it's still good it's still good.
It's just a little airborne, it's still good it's still good
Dad it's gone.
I know.

Those seasons were some of the best TV ever. S6;24, "The Lemon of Troy" may not be the "best" episode, but it is the quintessential, perfect prime years Simpsons episode.
Such an awesome, magical episode.
"Is this the end for Milhaus?"
"Your name is Milhaus? Me too."
"Really? I thought I was the only one."
"A pain I know all too well."
"So this is what it sounds like (sob) when doves cry."
ETA: and Treehouse of Horrors 5 (season 6) might be the best episode overall.

It is certainly the best run of The Simpsons and has a strong case for best run ever.
This scene from season 8 will always be the hardest I have ever laughed at The Simpsons.

You know, Smithers, I think I'll donate a million dollars to the local orphanage. When pigs fly!

Oh Bobo.....excellent
"Kids, you tried your best and you failed miserably. The lesson is never try"
"Smithers, release the robotic Richard Simmons"
Greatest run of 5 straight years ever.

Really great consistent run. Our friends would get together on Sundays to watch since we knew it was always going to deliver.

Mr Burns cube is one of my favorite scenes of the entire run.
"Here are your messages. You have 30 minutes to move your car. You have 10 minutes. Your car has been impounded. Your car has been crushed into a cube. You have 30 minutes to move your cube."
*Phone rings* "yellow, Mr Burns office"
Is it about my cube?

I would only say the Office seasons 2-5 is up there as well.
And yes, Simpsons World on the Fxnow app is the best thing technology has given us.

Bunch a crazies staying home to watch game 7 of the world series! but hey, word the wise...Season Pass! Pays for itself after the 16th visit
Now most people don't know how to tell the difference between apple juice and apple cider, but I do! Here's a little trick to help you out. If it's clear and yella, you've got juice there fella! If it's tangy and brown you're in cider town. Now, there are 2 notable exceptions..

(singing)
"When I was seventeen, I drank some very good beer. I drank some very good beer I purchased with a fake ID. My name was Brian McGee. I stayed up listening to Queen. When I was seventeen."

Hmm, no I'd still prefer not.

"Homer's Enemy" was in that time frame.
"During his long recuperation he taught himself to hear and feel pain again".
Perhaps my all-time favorite episode.

I just finished binging those seasons from about 4-10 on SlingTV, holds up so well and I could easily watch again.
Kent Brockman's finest moment "I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: democracy simply doesn’t work"
ETA Homer's Enemy is also probably my favorite episode
"the bag was clearly marked, please be more careful next time"
"Check" Takes a few more bites
