Why?
The entire point of Outrun is racing past scenery with Musical Sound Shower blaring. That ain’t 90 minutes of screen time.
You have a better chance of taking a different driving game like Chase HQ or SCI where you are catching crooks and knocking them off the road to get 90 minutes of screen time.

These old school games have no meaningful story to translate to a film. It's basically just a title and a general theme.
Kinda like how they tried to turn Battleship (the board game) into a movie.
Also, this IP means absolutely nothing to anyone under 50.
I just don't see this being a big hit unless Sweeny has her jugs out half the movie, but it's Michael Bay so *fingers crossed*
