If your package is delayed or isn’t delivered by the date given when you purchased, message them and you’ll get credit or a refund and still receive the item if you bitch hard enough.

I've reached a point now where about 50% of the packages I get are damaged and have to be returned or delivered to the wrong place.

The tariffs helped them by weeding out even more independent brick and mortar shops that carry quality items.

I would say most of my Amazon deliveries are delayed these days if I’m lucky because surprisingly over the past year or so, I’ve had about 3-4 deliveries go to the wrong address

Not in my neighborhood, ordered something at work (mid morning) on Tuesday and it was at my house before I got home. Central MS and we have a fulfillment center within 30 miles.

What benefits do you get with the Walmart+ that is worth the price?

Free shipping (not grocery delivery) with no minimum even for same day when available. Free Grocery min is $35

Choice of Paramount+ or Peacock streaming

Free pharmacy delivery with no minimum

A free televet pet service

25% off Burger King app orders if you eat that

Free returns pick up at your house

10¢ off per gallon at Walmart, Exxon, Mobil & Murphy gas stations

And probably a few more things. Not bad for $49 a year that they always run around Black Friday.

Meh, deliveries are still fine with me, always within 2 days, often next day. My biggest issue is almost everything you search for you have to swim through a hundred random Chinese brands before you find something g remotely recognizable. Its just overrated with Chinese shite now.

Avoid third party sellers that you don't trust (NewEgg, etc.) But your wife is going to continue buying shite from Temu and Shein, so what does it matter if you fail to notice something on Amazon is shipping from China and may not arrive for three weeks?

My main issue with amazon these days is the selection. Its become 100 cheap chinese identical copies of the same thing. Its hard to find legit skus these days. The pipeline itself is still one of the best, but its just got shite flowing through it.

Im sure theres a place for that, but damn if it doesnt make amazon just feel like a place to go to buy crap that works a couple of times, like a harbor freight.

I can't remember the last time that Walmart missed a delivery date.

Walmart+ fricked us over on the very first delivery. Told them to cancel that shite.

I have the exact opposite experience. Amazon is great in the Houston area. Must depend on location.

Walmart online prices now rival and sometimes beat Amazon for basic items, car parts/oil, foods.

I now check Walmart to compare to Amazon.

They have options to get you where you want to go easily.

Say you want a pair of quality water pump pliers but you want to see more brands than just Knipex.

Search "water pump pliers" and you will get a mix of alphabet soup "brands, Chinese brands with a bit of exposure like Work Pro, and then more premium brands like Klein and Knipex.

Go to the right side of the page and you can choose to limit the results to just Knipex, Channellock, Irwin, NWS, Bahco etc. You can also just click on "primium brands" and get rid of 99% of the garbage.

The reality is a lot of people by the no-name stuff. But if you want the name brands they aren't difficult to filter. Most of the no-name stuff is avaialble on places like Aliexpress for 1/2 to 2/3 the price on Amazon you just have ~10-14 days for shipping.

Except when they limit results to “top brands” only and not the ones you’re looking for, or randomly don’t allow sorting by brand based on your search input. It has gotten progressively and intentionally harder to search for a specific product on Amazon, to make you browse across more pages and generate ad revenue.

harder and harder to wade through all the cheap shite to find quality, non-fake items.

Idk man I like some of the cheap crap. Mostly electronics, and small engine carburetors. I have replaced numerous gunked up carbs with $20 knock offs and they work fine and they're so cheap that if they go out in a couple years I just replace them. Also electronics. I have so many cheap electronics that work great for a fraction of the name brand price. I'm using a $26 docking station on my home office setup right now that's been going strong for a year and a half and it's less glitchy than my name brand docking station at my office building. And vevor is my new favorite tool company. They are the new harbor freight.

I've been happy. Sometimes on the weekend, I get deliveries before 8 am.
