Are you on the MLSNext team? The Frontier division is pretty brutal with 5 MLS Academies in it. Losing may suck, but you are going against the absolute best players.

Hotel wise this is the correct answer. But the better option is Airbnb or VRBO.
Do not stay at a hotel/motel anywhere on Siegen.
For Airbnb and VRBO do not stay any place that you have to get to the neighborhood by entering from Gardere.

It’s pretty close, but OYO Hotel near Airline Highway on I-12 is nice. Also, there’s a mini golf-arcade place next door so the kids could enjoy that in the evening. I think they have batting cages as well.

Kid has a game coming up against Louisiana TDP Elite soon.
The Drury on Essen is close by. And it's pretty cheap(~$120/night) with a free "real" breakfast buffet. That can be a gamechanger if you have multiple kids for multiple days. Several friends of mine always stay here when in town for travel ball tournaments at traction Ball Park(right down road from Burbank Soccer ).
Ignore the OTers who will tell you it's ghetto b/c it's close to OLOL. Just don't stop at that Race Track in front of it and you'll be fine.

No, spending $20k a year traveling around the country to get your nuts kicked in didn’t sound appealing to my family. TDP Elite struggled getting the best players due to cost and willingness to travel.

FACTS!. If your kid is talented, the colleges will find you.

Renaissance or The Element hotel behind the hospital.

As many people mentioned, the Renaissance on Bluebonnet is your best bet.
What club are you with? I have a son on one of the teams. And yes, we get the shite kicked out of us by the Academies. And yes, it’s difficult at times. But most age groups compete well with everyone else in the conference and at the showcases. It’s also the most difficult conference in the country by far. Moving to ECNL next year will be a welcome change.

TDP Elite is the girls side, they aren’t dropping out of GA. You are talking about MLS next, the boys, who are dropping down a division, but not dropping out as you referenced. If you feel like you need to talk shite, at least know what you’re talking about.

I can't speak to the hotels, but I spend a lot of time at Burbank.
- Bring an ice chest with drinks and snacks. There's no snack bar out there. Depending on the weekend (i.e. if there's a tournament), there could be some vendors selling food.
- Its wide open and usually there is a breeze, so if you bring a tent, then also bring some stakes to hold it down.
- There's plenty of parking, so you should be able to get close to the field you are playing on. There's a map on Baton Rouge Soccer Club's website.
- Try to use the bathroom before you go out there.

As mentioned lauberge, renaissance both are close.
Those fields suck btw. Son had a game this past weekend. For such crappy fields its too bad they keep playing Presidents cup there

so for hotel renaissance on bluebonnet is prolly best
we stayed here though for an LSU game and its 5 min from the Brec soccer fields and Traction and it was much better than being in a hotel

Renaissance is probably best bet for not getting shot at directly. Watch for strays though. Bluebonnet was not kind to our Saint Truebleeda.
