Baws of the OT be on the lookout for counterfeit Zyn

A coworker bought a roll this morning and opened the first can at work. It had a strong Wintergreen odor, which Zyn never has and a terrible taste. The pouches had a yellow tint and were a different texture. Another coworker said he read last night that the Chinese were producing fake Zyn.
We closely compared the cans and came up with the following: the sell buy date on the fakes had a larger font than the real thing and the numbers beneath the bar code were larger on the fakes. Also, the numbers under the bar code in the middle were much closer to the 2 bars that drop down on the fakes.
One other key feature to look for is the seal on the fakes is serrated but not on the real thing. Also, the QR code comes up invalid if you scan them for Zyn points.
No telling what's in these counterfeit lip pillows. Stay safe out there Baws.

Watch for Fentanyl laced Zyn. If so some operator jobs will open up.

That yellow tint is Chinese children’s pee, it won’t hurt you.

That's terrible. Where would somebody buy something like that? Asking so I know where to avoid.

I work in part of the tobacco industry and can confirm that counterfeit nicotine pouches have been become more frequent in the market. Manufacturers first became aware of this issue during the summer. First counterfeit cases were found in the Chicago and Midwest areas. The Chinese counterfeits were being brought in via Canada. As notated above, at first it's hard to distinguish the cans, but if you look at the QR codes and serial numbers you can spot the difference.

Rouge flavor lasts longer and you get 5 extra pouches. But they’re getting harder and harder to find. I did get into the cinnamon Ons for a good while. But those 8 mg little bastards have some kick if you’ve been using Zyn or Rogue 6 mg. I usually pop 2–sometimes 3–Rogues in in the morning and keep them in until lunch. Couple times I’ve popped 2 8mg Ons in and 10 minutes later I felt like I was 14 sneaking a dip of my Dad’s Copenhagen. 16 mg of On is exponentially more potent than 12 of any other.

Thanks for the info. I'm not registered with ZYN but I scanned my QR codes and they took me to the ZYN website. Would you mind sharing a comparison pic of the bottom of the cans to show the font differences? Thanks for the alert!

This is the trashiest scam I'll never have to deal with.
