The oil/truck nut-rich states of Alaska, Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana are all deep Chevy country. California and Hawaii are all about the Tacos. Arkansas truck buyers seem to like Ford…so do the folks in landmass despite being the location where Nissan Titans are built.

Here are the top selling truck brands:

Overall GM is the top selling truck maker across Chevrolet and GMC brands. Ford is second best with their F series and Ranger pickups. Ram still outsells Toyota, but the lucrative west coast market is dominated by the Toyota Tacoma.

Ford is about to pass everyone with the Maverick. Chevy is going to neglect the small truck market and get swept.

Are the numbers 2020 or 2021?

I'd like to know how many of the Silverado's and Sierra's were made in Mexico.

Hard to believe Ford outsells Ram in the all of the western states. Places like Utah, Wyoming, Montana, etc seems like there are more Rams then anything else combined some places.

After owning a Tundra, I would agree that the Tacoma is a bitch truck.

It is silly that the Chevy and gmc are counted separately.

GM has 4 plants cranking out pickup trucks right now. One is in Mexico. The others are in Indiana, Missouri, and Michigan.

Nissan and Toyota are the only ones that make pickup trucks on the gulf coast in the US (Texas and Mississippi). The gulf coast states might be the ultimate pickup truck market.

So Expeditions and Navigators should be lumped together?

If you look at the map it says Silverado 1500 or F150 depending on the state.

They are the same vehicle with slightly different add ons? Sure, in overall numbers.

Tacoma is a 1/2 ton pickup. Toyota hasn't made a true 1/4 ton truck in quite a while.

Toyota sold about 110K Tundra's in 2020. The numbers shown on the chart are for the Tacoma only I'm guessing.

Note-GMC sells twice as many Sierra's as the OT's seeming fave truck.
