Empower a panel, and present the first case, an adult male with an attitude and his name is Bill Gates.

I dont disagree completely. Billions and billions are wasted in the final months on people with 0 quality of life

But there is of course a difference between killing somebody and letting them die in peace

Wonder if Bill Gates has any investment placed into any death panels? Maybe some vaccines in Africa?

Sounds a whole lot like hitler. He started with the deformed and less desirable. Then convinced them that all the Jews were less desirable too, and needed to be killed off.
That is what gates wants

I don't either but this is Bill Gates we're talking here.

It'll have the same ambiguity as assisted suicide.

The idea was born from the idea that people with terminal illnesses should be able to choose how and when they go yet evolved into people opting for assisted suicide because they're just sad and depressed.

How long until hospitals are smothering old folks or hastening the process with other compounds? It's such a sad state.

I mean, unless you have another answer for the upcoming heath crisis, its not the worst idea.

he clip shows Gates in 2010 discussing health care and education systems at a forum hosted by the nonpartisan, nonprofit think tank the Aspen Institute, not at the G-20 meeting in Indonesia this week. While Gates did mention so-called “death panels” — a misleading term used by opponents of the Affordable Care Act — he was explaining why discussion about the cost of end-of-life care had become taboo. He never endorsed the idea.

At what point do we quit forcing staying alive become a waste or abuse vs allowing nature to happen. I’ve seen literal corpses with Alzheimer’s kept going. That’s awful I’m its own regard. That said, I wish Bill Gates would lose every penny and become a poor person. Let’s see how his thoughts on this change. Him first.

Sometimes death panels show up in the form of torch bearing, pitchfork waving mobs.

This is something that sounds terrible if you don’t do it everyday. But we should absolutely stop prolonging life long, long before we do in most cases and focus on good, comfortable years before death.

The problem is that most regular people have not come to terms with the fact that they, their parents, their spouses, their children, and their pets will all die.

It’s not a comfortable door to crack open. OK, so it starts with the terminally ill. That’s a quality of life measurement. But you know damn good and well the cost part of the equation will be fought over. When there’s an incentive to save or make money, morals gets pushed.
The elderly take a lot of money to keep going even when not terminally ill. So do special needs children. Is a 14 year old girl with cerebral palsy too expensive?

Progressives: Be obese and don’t care about your health!

Also progressives: Death commissions are needed to end the lives of sick and unhealthy people.
