I know anime and manga is popular, but AI seems like it's making it blow the frick up lately.

Can some explain to me which AI program can be used to make this? Is it ChatGPT or another?

I jacked around with ChatGPT but couldn’t get it to replicate anything close to what’s posted here.

I think they invented ai to make the internet lame so that people would stop using computers and do something useful like fishing or welding

ETA: or maybe it was to chain y’all boomers to the computer even more

Maybe I don't understand it. Only loser nerds knew about anime when I was coming up.

Yesterday somone on Twitter said to upload the photo and in the prompt, as for a ghibli-style picture.

You also must have ChatGPT plus in order to do it.

Today I read that their servers are being overworked because of all the requests.

Ghibli movies have been around for almost 40 years. They're fantastic, even for people who don't like anime

Will be interesting to see how Studio Ghibli reacts to all of this. On one hand, I can see this blowing up into another big AI/copyright/ethics debate. On the other hand, that’s a whole lot of free publicity.

If they are smart, this.

Seeing as their style has been copied for years and anime/manga is no stranger to fans creating their own fan art, I doubt they will care much.

they freaked out at first; in typical over-protective copyright protection mode but i think you're right; these is no bad publicity and all these are doing is exposing more people to Ghibli.

I can see the usage of their name being a gray area, but it's not like they can own that specific art style right? It'd be like saying no one can do pop art because it belongs to Warhol
