Colon cancer is the most preventable cancer.
You are at risk. Enjoy your nap and come back when he tells you to.
You don’t have to take care of yourself if you don’t want to. Your choice.

You’re an idiot for even suggesting this. Where in the hell are you getting your information??

Seriously, not a troll attempt.
I've been told from multiple people (of which I don't believe entirely) that colonoscopies are just unnecessary money makers for doctors.
And try to tell me they do more harm than good.
Further, even if cancer is found, you don't want to do radiation, you should just change your diet and clear up any cancer that might be there.
This isn't my saying this, it's others . I fully intend to have the colonoscopy soon.
You're saying changing your diet will clear it up or clear it up and then change the diet to prevent it again? I assume it's the latter.
C'scopies are money-makers for doctors. That doesn't mean they aren't worth it. It's the most preventable cancer there is. You can literally look to see if anything's there without a cut of any kind. And you get to clean out the whole system in preparation.

The prep sucks but that propofol will give you the best nap you ever had.
I don't know how Michael Jackson could function on that stuff.

My wife had one a couple years ago. I guess the doctor accidentally scraped her colon on the way out. That night we had to return to the ER and they had to go in and stitch it up. What was supposed to be a 100% covered procedure turned into a $15,000 operation. Sure, insurance covered most, but still ended up with a $3000 bill after paying ER copay and deductable. These doctors do these procedures like an assembly line.
Why did you not go after doctor that messed up. They have insurance for this and you should be out $0

Had two in the past two years.
They said I'm good for five years now.
I am just glad to have access to medical care.
I work hard at my job.

Not the same cancer but that’s what Steve Job’s dumbass thought too. He had a fairly treatable form of pancreatic cancer (most pancreatic cancers don’t have good prognosis but his type does) and he instead first tried to combat it using diet and alternative medicine.

The prep sucks
I know it’s not the case for everyone, but the colonoscopy prep itself relieved nearly all of my GI symptoms. It basically resets your gut microbiome

Then why is it so damn hard to get a doctor/PA to order you one? The guidelines a lot of doctors have when it comes to ordering scopes is super strict. There have been so many cases of young people in their 20s and 30s getting dismissed by their GIs and being told “it’s just IBS” only to find out later through an emergency scope that it’s colon cancer.

I love Propofol too, but four in a few weeks may be excessive.
It's actually 4 over a period of 14 years. One one due to a really bad case of diverticulitis about 6 years ago. Ended up having about 18 inches of my colon taken out. Have had a few polyps removed but luckily no positive cancer biopsies.

Dunno. Didn't know it was a big deal getting one ordered. I'm in my 50s, so my doctor gave me a name and I called up and had it scheduled in a few months. Seems like there's nothing to it for the doctor. It's not really "invasive". There's no cut. You follow the protocol and clean the system out, it's a 15-30 minute procedure, at most, while you're out. Everybody in their 50s should get one every 5 years or so. Seems like there shouldn't be any issues by anyone for any reason, though it's healthcare in America, so the reasons for the inability to get one are going to be pathetic.

Have you consulted Alex Jones?

Elle McPherson's views on breast cancer treatment are equally foolish.

I mean, at the very least it's a forced "intermittent" type diet for 2-3 days, with a hard fast the last 12-24 hours or so. It's the cleanest your gut has been since birth, I presume. There's something enlightening about that.

Colonoscopy is needed, also it is a way to peer deep into your soul.

It can be a massive benefit if you have unexplained gut dysbiosis/IBS/SIBO symptoms, but for autoimmune diseases like IBD, it probably won’t do much.

Frequent conoloscopies are reccomended by leading proctologists.

At 76, Cologuard is what I use. I'll never have my colon scoped--two of my friends came very close to dying from botched colonoscopies. They both spent months hospitalized. One was left with an open would after a polyp removed and the other suffered a perforated colon.
