How do you say it in every day talk or texting? I say,me and Kristy ate at McDonald's. Kristy and I sounds stupid even though it's correct english.
How do you say it?
How do you say it?

In that situation I would say "Kristy and I" because it's correct.

______ and I
unless I'm talking about my Bobby McGee
unless I'm talking about my Bobby McGee

Is it the subject or object of the sentence?

It's easier if you break the two apart.
We know that kristy ate McDonald's, but
Would you say Me ate McDonald's or I ate McDonald's?

Delete the other name and use the correct pronoun:
Kiristy and I went to McDs
I went to McDs
Mom cooked dinner for Kristy and me
Mom cooked dinner for me
Kiristy and I went to McDs
I went to McDs
Mom cooked dinner for Kristy and me
Mom cooked dinner for me

This guy gets it.
If it's the subject use I. If it's the object use me.
When people use "I" as the object I'd drives me crazy. I think people do it bc they think it makes them sound like they are using more proper/formal English, but in reality it just makes them sound uneducated.
For example you would never say:
"The car belongs to I. "
But then they say:
"The car belongs to my wife and l"
And think that sounds "proper" for some reason.
When there is a conjunction involved it seems like people lose their mind.
The correct sentence is:
"The car belongs to my wife and me."

Good advice. "I" is a noun while "me" is a pronoun however.

If it is the subject of the sentence that is correct. If it's the object that would be incorrect.

it's not always and I. sometimes it's and me. the rules of english are simple if you aren't a moron.

Remove your name and just say the sentence with me or I. Then, it is easy to figure out the correct way.
Me and Bob ate at McDonalds is what a lot of people say. Remove Bob though and it is "Me ate at McDonalds".
Does that make sense? No.
Bob and I ate at McDonalds. Remove Bob and it is "I ate at McDonalds". That makes sense; therefore, it is Bob and I, not me and Bob.
ETA: Looks like BHP basically summed it up the same way a few posts up.

I usually say "me and _____".It may not be proper English but it sounds better to me.

Nothing chaps my arse more than when a "so called" educated person uses "I" as the objective case pronoun.

Depends on where in the sentence it is.

That's not the only thing that sounds stupid in this thread.
