Harpeth Hall, an all girls school in Nashville for 155 years, announced today they will now admit boys who identify as girls

Harpeth Hall has a storied history dating back to 1865, and intends to develop future female leaders. It counts actress Reese Witherspoon, singer Amy Grant and comedienne Minnie Pearl among its alumnae. It prominently displays messages on its website like “Live Honorably” and “Think Critically.”
In a new email sent to parents of the elite girls school, administrators announced they would be following a new policy admitting biological males who identify as girls.
The email explains that the school’s Board of Trustees “Diversity, equity and inclusion” committee created the policy at the request of school leadership. The policy claims that Trustees “have heard from experts on the topic, shared educational articles, and consulted with other girls schools.”

The parents must be rich AF. Harpeth Hall charges 33 thousand dollars a year tuition.

Be hilarious if a trans girl applied to my son’s all-boys school. I imagine she’d be in e-sports…and a big hit.

While not bastions of conservatism, Harpeth Hall and MBA were the old money schools in town. I guess left coasters have finally taken over as the population of Nashville changes.

I just want to fast forward to the point where this capitulation to a ridiculous ideology collapses in on itself
it seems the body positivity, "being obese isn't unhealthy" type movement died in its tracks. I look forward to where this movement shares its fate.

Yep. Same with MBA. Saw a dude out with his boys a few weeks ago and all three kids had MBA shirts. Dude had to be shelling out nearly $100k in tuition per year.

Not sure about Nashville but we have similar problems in Atlanta and the big private schools. And while some of it is transplant stuff, I'd argue most of it is old money being so disconnected from real life that they can afford being progressive as a vanity play. Heard similar about some of the Dallas schools, although that's probably skewed because of HP.

I used to work with that school’s admin. Very nice people BUT they were not nearly as conservative as I had expected them to be. It’s a great school and I’d imagine this won’t have any impact on their academic standing but it does make me think less of them. Good news is that the Nashville area has no shortage of incredibly prestigious private schools to send kids to if you can afford it.

They are very wealthy. I loved working with the private schools in Nashville because it made me feel uppity and prestigious for a little while

Until Americans start saying no and standing up against stupidity, these things will keep happening

I’m sure they’ll lose some students because of this.

I would be pissed if my girls went to that school.

HH has a championship caliber girls track and field program.
Has Tennessee law been adjusted to reposition these nuts?
