They aren't cool now unless you are a certain sort of person.

Man yall need to get outside and meet more people. I'm not a tattoo guy but quite a bit of the people I hang out with have tattoo's and none of them have them because of trauma.

Visible tattoos are a perfect symbol for people who make poor life decisions

Unfortunately, we’ll always have people like that and tattoos aren’t going anywhere

When is it not terrible? I’ve never seen a hot girl and thought, “she’s hot, but a tattoo would really make her look a lot better.” Some girls with tattoos are hot, but every single one would look better with nice skin

Well it's been going strong for about 5000 years, so maybe in another 5,000 it will start winding down

I have just started to see the after effects of huge Tattoos on Boomers that got those tats decades ago and it is not a good look. Nothing wrong with a small to medium one placed on a shoulder , arm leg etc.. But on grandpa and grandma with a green faded covered arm , leg etc... TRASHY.

“Seems like they are only growing in acceptance”

I’ve been seeing older women with tattoos lately(in Walmart,of course). One woman was at least 65 with a young grandson and had fresh tattoos al over her arms.
Even saw a old biddy pushing 80 riding around in electric shopping cart and damned if she didn’t have some fairly new looking tattoos on her arms.I can only suspect she had some dementia going on.

At least the heavily tatted up woman fad has faded out. I feel sorry for the ladies who rode that trend wave. For a couple of years of being “cool”, they have permanently disfigured themselves. I hope it was worth it to them. But now it looks so dated and try hard. Classy seems to be making a come back, and tattooed women are out.

It’s always funny to me to watch this happen in real time. A woman will get an arm sleeve and then all of a sudden she wears only sleeveless tops and in pics, that arm is always closest to the camera just so 4 women can leave ‘omg YASSSS’ comments under their pictures

I had grandma's name and addressed tattooed on her arm for when she wanders off.

Kids U13 won't have tattoos because all their parents are covered in tats. Thats how this works...Want your kids to do something....you do the opposite and act like its cool. They will hate it.

I don't have any but I have a lot of friends who have multiple. I've never wanted one but I think they're pretty cool. If people are interested in getting them, then rock on.

I might would suggest to not get one on your neck, face, or forehead but ultimately that's the person's right to choose/become professionally unemployable.

BTW I actually know a hell of a lot more people with tats than without. So not having them is kind of becoming the new "tattoo" per se.

They have been around for about 12,000 years. My guess is they wont disappear anytime soon.
