I work a weird schedule - it’s usually part time - so on average 20 hours a week

Some days I get to post on TD all afternoon

And some days it feels like I put in 24 hours of work into 3 hours (and when that happens I’m assigned more tasks )

I actually work about 4-5 hours a day. But as a senior exec at what I do all I deal with are problems that nobody else knows how to handle. So it’s basically dealing with headaches all day.

Some days more….some days less.

Physically doing something, 10%. Mentally engaged, 100% except for a couple of breaks to BS about sports or current events. I was basically paid to think.

Quite a lot. Maritime industry. Heavy into operations with some commercial overlap too. I'm at the executive level. It's truly 24/7.

I mean, I almost exclusively post 8-430 Monday-Friday. I’m actually logging some overtime to post right now.

It depends on the day some days are busy and some days are slow. Busy days I bust my arse slow days I work but ain’t busting my arse.

Unfortunately more busy than slow days here lately

I'm self employed. I work more hours now then when I was on salary, because almost all my time is billable. Usually 40 to 50 hours a week. Occasionally over 50.

I’m on the clock 24/7, but I actually only work about 25-30 hours a week now. It’s pretty nice, but to get a good foundation at the beginning, it was about 50 hours for the first 6-8 months.

I don’t understand that. What if your kid has a game you don’t want to miss? What if you go out for a few beers with friends?

Even doctors have dedicated calls…

It’s all remote, so any time there’s an issue, it will literally take me 3-5 min to fix, and usually through text. 99.9% of the time it’s an easy fix. I’ve done it at my kid's hockey games and even when I’m on vacation having some drinks. Never anything difficult that can’t be fixed quickly.

I work offshore, controls guy. On a 21 day rotation I'd guess I am working 2 hours a day on average. I'm generally in meetings during the business week with folks from H town, but I don't consider that work.

Not beating of my chest. It depends on what you do.

I own two businesses that I am basically the only employee. Not bragging but I very seriously doubt any of you put in the hours I do. And Im 59 years old.

its not a brag. Its more of a failure. LOL. I must work the hours I do in order to live the lifestyle I want. I dont make enough money at my "jobs' to do what I want to do. So i over work. I dont recommend it either. My guess is, I put in close to 70 hours a week most weeks. And that sucks
