Is Cannondale a good brand for an urban bike?

By “urban”, I mean like a hybrid for riding on pavement, reasonably smooth dirt, or gravel...like a bike that could be used to commute to work in an urban area.
What are th best / ok / worst brands on the market for this kind of bike?
Just looking for something I can ride for a little exercise on running / biking paths, take my young kids for a ride on in an attached seat, etc.

Did not have an Urban bike but had a road bike and triathlon bike made by Cannondale. They were both excellent bikes. Quality products.

Cannondale, treks, specialized are the more popular brands in the cycling community.not cheap but worth it if you’re going to get into it.

Yes. Look for cross bikes. Hybrid between road and mountain bikes.
Or get a road bike and put the thickest tires that will fit on it.

I've had a Trek for almost 20 years. It's a very good bike for all around use. Cannondale is good too.

Cannondale is by no means "the best bike out there", but they aren't a bad brand at all and for a commuter/exercise bike, they will be wayyyyyyyy more than fine.
Their racier road bikes are more than fine too, but for the amount you pay for a CAAD.12 or SuperSix Evo, I'd rather get several other brands first.
But again, that's only if you are looking to drop $2k on a bike. For mountain bikes and commuter bikes they are going to be just fine. In fact, their mountain bikes are supposed to be very good.
Other brands to look at
Specialized (probably most popular brand, so readily available)
Trek (expensive)
Giant
Scott
Felt (good price for what you get, but mostly road bikes)

I have this Bianchi Iseo. Sounds like maybe would fit what you're looking for, unless you're looking to do a ton of gravel or trail riding.

Fairdale Weekender Archer. Great bike for under $1k.

Got a lot of mileage out of a Schwinn Avenue Hybrid from Walmart.
