This is early last week, huh.
I don’t know who she’s talking to, her folks have gotten the message loud and clear.

My first time hearing about this and that was just a dumb comment to make.

We know they don't tip and that the reason is racism. That's not even up for debate.

Next she will say that swimming is racist and should be outlawed.

I agree. Everything is racist.

Life is probably really tough for her and she doesn’t even realize that she is her own worst enemy and the cause of it

Anything to accelerate the abolishment of tipping is A ok with me

I hate tipping culture, just charge the damn price. I never had anyone tell me "Oh you are charging $495 for that, let me add on a 20% tip and give you $600" I honestly think you can make service better at restaurants if the waitress wasn't relying on tips and you could have teams serving a room instead of relying on one person per table to handle everything. It just doesn't make sense.
Guides that own their own business are the strangest tip expectations. They charge their price, they get the whole thing. If their price doesn't cover expenses and profit then charge me more up front. Now tipping a deckhand is a different scenario because they don't get paid dick and do most if not all the hard work on offshore charters but I would still like to see them paid fairly and just bill me the appropriate amount to cover expenses.

TIP means = To Insure Promptness. You pay someone that does there job well and to your expectation and you dont pay someone who is shitty at their job.

And you'd be wrong.

Now explain the economics of how that would work in a volume based business that runs at sub 10% gross margins while keeping said volume up

No it doesn't. It means to insure proper service. You're welcome.

At what point does the society tell these people to shut the frick up?
Posted on 3/27/22 at 4:34 pm to Byrdybyrd05
She later agreed with a blue check, stating that tipping is how restaurants transfer employee costs to the consumer. Neither realizing that's what every business does, transfer expenses to consumers. That's the entire point.
It's incredible how little basic economic knowledge the folks who want to overhaul our economy have.

These morons think that paying servers minimum wage would somehow result in
1. More pay for servers
2. No price increases
In reality, for the large majority of restaurants this would mean either fewer servers in staff, adopting the counter service model, or large price increases solely to keep more servers on staff.
