Incredible progress being made.
I’m thinking they should wrap this up by 2030

I noticed that their making the same loopish part on reiger like on seigen. The part that goes over pecue and ends (for now) where the neighborhood is being extended. I'm curious if pecue is gonna have strip retail or residential

Unbelievable how long it was planned to take

The project began in 2017. It's "scheduled" to be complete in mid-2026. For an interchange.

Then after a decade our reward is having to deal with idiots trying to figure out a diverging diamond interchange.

I know some of our friends over in Woodridge are concerned about the Rieger connection bringing over the shite heads from siegen and that methadone clinic

Yes, it is very slow.

But….In fairness, they built two separate 2-lane overpass bridges and are now completely rebuilding a road from 2 lanes to 4 lanes. All while keeping the road open.

Then they have to create exit and entrance ramps first clearing the land, then raising the land with dirt before building new roads for the ramps.

That’s insane. We’ll be in the nursing home before the new bridge is built then.

I wouldn't be excited about that connection.

Will need a study when everyone in the original one is dead.

Dude. It has been 8 fricking years and they still aren't done. It took 14 months to build the first two lanes of the Causeway in 1955. DOTD/FHWA has got to figure out how to drop the bureaucracy and get back to surveying, design, and construction.

This is what happens when they fund the project in phases.

Can't wait for it to open. It is going to be a Diverging Interchange , the left and right lanes will cross over and opposite that normal. I can only image the show that's coming.

I was told to me that by law only Louisiana companies can bid on these projects and there are no Louisiana companies big enough to do it in one swing. So they get parceled out. Don't know if true but it's what I was told.

Two bridges over Wards Creek didn’t help either. One four lane for Pecue and another for an entrance ramp to 10.

It didn’t help that Broome did a bunch of clearing work only to let things grow back some
