There was a sixties actress named Jill Banner, now deceased, whose main claim to fame was being Marlon Brando's girlfriend for a while. No relation to John "Schultz" Banner, who didn't father any children AFAIK.

Fun fact: John Banner was Jewish like all the other actors who played the main German characters on Hogan's Heroes, and served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Werner Klemperer was the son of a famous orchestra conductor who immigrated to the US. He graduated from Hollywood High School and spoke flawless English.
