Why are so many softball players and girls’ basketball players lesbians?

Seems like a lot. Maybe they are just in that culture all the time idk. I remember when I was in college even a couple of cute softball players went that way, not just the butch ones. I see now there is speculation about Paige and Azzi.

Couldn't you say the same for male basketball and baseball players? They are around guys all the time. Does this mean there are far more gay male athletes than we realize?
