Cuttin’ grass, pressure washin’, washing the vehicles, and BBQ’in. “Blondie” takes care of the inside, I take care of the outside…

I have had a string of home appliance break downs lately and have generally enjoyed the process of figuring out how to fix the issues.

I enjoy getting the yard done, but it sucks in the summer. For some stupid reason, I love to vacuum. I'll do the whole damn house. And I'm anal about it, I go super slow on carpet to get every atom of dust (I know it doesn't).

How about things we hate? I could never clean my shower again and be happy.

Me too. I worked in an appliance place when in college so I can fix most minor issues. Just changed the thermostat in our oven 2 weeks ago.

I also like small engine work. Changed the head gaskets on my JD mower and saved myself some $$.

I HATE trimming bushes and spreading pine straw.

I absolutely love cleaning out and uncluttering the garage, back patio, etc. I’m not sure why but it gives me a sense of zen. Also putting out and setting holiday decorations for the yard.

Regular basis stuff- getting the garbage collected and to the road on Sunday evening. It’s just a good way to put the end to one week and start another.

Cutting the yard... and oddly enough... raking leaves in the fall. I'll easily do 80-100 bags a weekend for 3-4 straight weekends. Sure... I could get some mexicans to do it in about 1/10th the time... but it's therapeutic.

I think my wife's is rearranging furniture. Then, not liking what we've changed and put it right back where it was.

Would rather eat bowl of broken glass than clean a shower.

Retired in Jan this yr.

Tomato garden is my every yr project. Love it!
This yr I got into grafting citrus trees from my satsuma that got killed last yr in the freeze.
Also putting a lot of effort into getting my lawn in shape by getting rid of weeds

I just sold my house and moved into a new build condo bc I hated all the home maintenence projects that came with my house.

I do enjoy a good organization project and deep clean inside though.

I get a certain satisfaction out of pruning trees, especially crape myrtles.

I need to power wash my patio again. Last time I did it, it took 2 hours to do about 1/4 of it. Then I found out my brother had a power washing disc. The remaining 3/4 took about 2 hours. It’s like running a vacuum over the grime- amazing.

I don’t mind detailing/vacuuming the car, but I only do it in spring/fall when it’s not 112 degrees and 980% humidity.

This is about as retired of a post there is. Yes, I’m retired. I could power wash 24/7. I am tempted to power wash my power washer. What ya got? Your fav. Boomer (Gen X) out.

I don’t like to do shite at my house. I will trim my trees but other than that I pay people for all my projects and maintenance.

I get my fill of doing my own stuff at my ranch. Lots of mowing and limbing senderos. I take vacation to go work
