Just got the email. And this after they just raised the price.

quote:

Paramount Global is notifying YouTube TV subscribers that channels including CBS, BET, Comedy Central, MTV and Nickelodeon could go dark on the service as soon as Thursday, Feb. 13.

Other Paramount channels in danger of being removed from YouTube TV include CBS Sports Network, Paramount Network, CMT, Nick Jr., Smithsonian Channel, TV Land and VH1. In addition, the dispute threatens to pull Paramount+ and BET+ from YouTube TV Primetime Channels.

No need to worry.

Before too long streaming services will be more expensive than Directv. I’m glad I’ve held on to Directv. The streaming services are getting out of control.

YoutubeTV went up almost $10/month without adding anything to it. I know cord cutting was supposed to be the cheaper way to watching what you want, but we're finally at a point where buying multiple stream services to watch the things you want are the same price as adding cable to your Internet plan.

Right, can I sign up to not have these channels and get the $8 credit every month?

It'd be nice if they had more to focus on in the southern states than slavery landmarks & civil war battlefields

The Louisiana episode did feature Angola

I had YT TV suggested when I switched to TMobile home internet/WiFi for the $70 supposedly locked in price. Spectrum got on my last nerve after 20 years of them.

Anyone have a streaming idea to replace YT? Does Hulu have local channels? Does that cheaper one have local channels, can't think of it's name the one with the color coded channels packages?

Oh no. I have YouTube TV. I don't watch any of those channels. What will I do?

I don't care. Only need CBS for football season and this will be fixed way before then. I watch AmazonPrime or Netflix shows anyway. Don't think I have watched a series show on network TV since maybe 2014.

People keep saying this but yttv is still VERY far off from cable.

My parents are still cox cable holdouts. They pay like 200/month for their tv package. I get all the same relevant channels with yttv for 85.

Try FUBO. You should be able to try it free for a few days. I had YTTV and switched to FUBO. It's all about the same price. The difference to me was the layout/UI.
