Ok. So I just watched the video she posted of the proposal; he looked completely calm and composed as he began to ascend back to the surface. I don’t know what the depth was, but there was a lot of light able to get through at least.
Maybe I’m being cynical, but the video doesn’t add up to the eventual and unseen outcome.

He was not down very deep. Watch the other video when she tours the place. He was probably down about 20 feet.
