Any suggestions on the best mapping card available for South Louisiana marsh fishing, mainly the Pointe Aux Chenes & Cocodrie areas. Standard mapping LA One card looks nice but expensive. Is it worth the money?

I bought a cheap card with sat image maps from a guy on Facebook. It works but I'm buying the Standard Mapping card with built in routes this year. I should have done it from the get go and saved $100

Yeah I tried navionics and I just wasted the money on that. Standard maps is by far better.

Navionics 907p+ is the best and most detailed chip on the market. It blows the standard mapping chips out of the water and it's not even close. The key is to get the platinum + (p+) chip.

Is there a place to look at example images from the Navionics card?

Google "navionics satellite overlay"

It's just like Google earth with a lot more detail than the standard mapping chips.

I'm currently looking for a chart plotter. I just purchased a 16' Xpress CC. New to fishing the marshes.
I'm looking at the Garmin ECHOMAP UHD Touch 94sv comes with GT54UHD-TM Transducer and Garmin Navionics+ for $799. I'm setting my boat up to catfish and troll off the back using my the 94sv on console and would like to add the 74sv or another 94sv on the bow to fish bass and spec's/reds later. I like that you can run both units off one ducer and pair them wirelessly now. Would this be a good set up for South La marsh and bayou fishing?

I don't hunt so I don't know what a mapping card is. But I use Hunt stand in my line of business and it has a lot of features for mapping.

I can lock down specific places on property on this app. It also gives me property lines so I know where I am not trespassing.

FIFY. These lines are from a tax parcel map and can frequently be inaccurate. And im not talking 10-20 feet (most are only accurate to that anyway), but more like ACRES off in some cases amd drawn in a completely direct shape than the legal description. And pleading with green jeans that you were "just following hunt stand" won't get you out of a ticket. And that's if old ornery landowner doesn't get you first...

But yes, it's a good general guideline if your familiar with the tract your on.

I have the standard mapping card and I like it a lot.

The only issue I have found with it won’t apply to many is it does t work well with radar. I am unable to find a way to overlay radar on the map. I can get a split screen with map on one side and radar on the other which is acceptable but then I loose my depth speed and compass bearing which sometimes is really nice to see.

If not running radar it’s a very nice product. Even then it’s still nice just a few limitations.

I bet you can customize the split screen to show depth, speed and compass.
