I love Russia and would happily hop on the next jet to Moscow or St Pete

I know people who vacation in Russia every few years. Never have they been arrested or imprisoned. Then again, they are always smart enough to ask about the laws, the things they can do and can't do, to see if anything has changed, before each vacation.
Because most countries don't have our bullshite where foreigners are given a free pass because of "cultural differences".

There are direct flights from us to Cuba currently.

That was before the the skinny Kenyan communist went down there and sucked some Castro dick.

Why can't I go see Red Square, St. Basil's, The Kremlin armory and museum? The palaces in St. Petersburg as well?

They’re not arresting people on trumped up charges
Don’t get involved in espionage, don’t be a political provocateur, and don’t commit a crime.

This whole thing is a publicity stunt. Kamala is a fraud just like George Santos.

Traveling with money in the US and being victim of civil asset forfeiture is more of a danger than traveling to Russia.

The deal should be, you get arrested it’s your problem not a US problem. No deals

It's extremely disingenuous for the United States to bitch about “journalists" being prosecuted as spies when our entire intelligence agency apparatus works hand-in-hand with the New York Slimes, the Washington Compost, and the Wall Street Journal. The whole world fricking knows it.

We’re visiting Moscow in a few weeks and I don’t think there’s anything to worry about. I’m not a reporter or high profile person.

I haven’t been back since the war started, but there’s normally zero security presence.
I wish more Americans would go. Moscow is beautiful and the people are incredibly kind. They’re also more connected to each other than westerners. I wish we were more like them in that way. And no one will go out of their way to take care you like a Slav will.
Are you staying in the inner ring?

Do you really want to step in that ? Bay of Pigs, Cuban missile crisis, provable and possible linked assassination attempts of government officials. Democrat lead and signed into law by Kennedy Acts. Slightly different time.
So are you advocating for travel restrictions on US citizens?

Unless they want to sign a waiver stating: "WE WILL NOT TRY TO GET YOU BACK HOME WHEN THEY ARREST YOU!"
Even if the US says you can't go there, you can.
Americans went to Cuba during the embargo.
You just had to leave for Cuba from another nation.

So who gets to select which nations we can travel to and decides when we can? Serious question. Are they elected ? Are they bureaucrats? Are there punishments if you go ? What happens if the nations not on the list and something happens ? What if a person is sent there for work ?
You don’t hand over your citizenship when you travel abroad. There are always inherent risks. But at the end of the day your countries job should be to protect and fight for you. (There are exceptions to every scenario)
