DeChambeau catches grief from hecklers. Why? Because Trump.

Not really the case, just according to this fusspocket.
For those who don't follow golf, there is an ongoing "feud" between Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau that has spawned a storyline and fans that take up sides. I think the players have genuine antipathy, but it has been exaggerated by media and idiot fans. DeChambeau catches most of the grief because he can be a bit of a putz and Koepka is pretty likable.
According to this Daily Beast writer, though, it mostly comes from DeChambeau being a Trump supporter. He's getting lit up on Twitter by people saying he is the only one who making that even a consideration.
It boggles my mind how consumed some people are by TDS that they project it onto even the most tangential issues.

I don't give a crap who DeChambeau supports or doesn't ... or what position he takes toward vaccinations ..... that's his own business, not mine.
As long as he minds his own business, I will continue to root for him because I enjoy watching him play.
BTW, one of the great sudden-death playoffs in many, many years occurred yesterday .... very enjoyable.

I suspect that if the election were decided by PGA players, Trump would have won in a landslide...
Having said that, I didn't know DeChambeau's politics, and I don't particularly like him. He is one of the least liked players in the locker room on the PGA tour, and it is not because he supports Trump (most players do).
I say this, and my nephew is a good friend of Bryson's.

What a stupid fricking take from this meatspank and if Bryson comes out tomorrow and says he is a Trump supporter and anti vax his likeability will go up with golf fans. I had no idea he was a Trump guy or anti vax so now I'm on his side and will be pulling for him to win the tour championship.

Doesn’t Brooks Koepka like Trump too? He said playing golf with President Trump was one of the coolest experiences of his life. Journalists are so frickin stupid. Especially all the liberal panty waste journalists that cover sports these days.
