In landmark guidance, the federal commission created to fight racial and sexual discrimination declared Monday that employers that fail to use a worker's preferred pronoun or refuse them the chance to use the restroom of their choice will be engaging in prohibited harassment.

Feds warn employers can be punished for failing to use preferred transgender pronouns, restrooms

If you can change your gender every day why not your pronouns?

Show me the money!

All of that is unconstitutional. It's compelled speech and creating a special class of people that can pick and choose where to go drop their trousers at the expense of others and their privacy.

Lmao…good thing the Supreme Court decided to reduce the threshold to “some harm” to file a discrimination lawsuit

Ok. Let’s get serious about this. It’s high time we require separate bathrooms, for each gender- worldwide. Clothing manufacturers need to step it up- as currently there are only “men” and “women” options for clothing. Sports? Well of course. We need a separate league for each of growing number of genders as well.

Your average BS EEOC claim costs $10-15k, and even more if the claimant has the slightest leg to stand on.

This is quite literally the federal government attempting to squelch free speech on the topic of gender dysmorphia by threatening reprisals for not using speech the federal government agrees with.

I can't wait to see the first test of this.

Exactly why I trash every resume that declares pronouns.

Someone who works there should show up every day with a different 'gender' and list of pronouns - and go ballistic if not immediately enforced throughout the workplace - maybe even change in after-noon.

Why not just sh1t in any room you deem to by "your restroom "? In the middle of a meeting with a table full of coworkers, just step to the corner of the room and do your business like it's normal.

Guidance contains the force of law? From an unelected fed agency?

If you don't think that official guidance does not become the reasonable standard in disputes, you are hopelessly naive.

I would say what I really think abiut this, and what should happen to the people that support and push this, but it's been nice not getting PMs all the time.

I won't say it's worthless or deny that it can serve as a roadmap to eventual policy/precedent, but EEOC guidance gets a lot less reverence than other agency guidance.

Either Scotland or Ireland just learned how difficult it is to enforce this nonsense. All it took was having every threatened person turn in a complaint for investigation. Backlog rose from 45 complaints to 105600 in a weeks time.
