And has told the court he is penniless, destitute and indigent, too poor to employ counsel.
“I pray the court will appoint an attorney to represent me in this appeal.”
This bullshite will never stop

Oh shite. Anthony family gonna find a way to raise a few more hundred thousand dollars for his "appeal"? Money that will conveniently be used to buy a house instead of renting one.

How does pro bono work on appeal?
If possible and nobody wants to do pro bono….hmmm lol

Boosie who really is a real lawyer will represent him on a contingency.
At least that’s what he said.

What happened to all that GoFund Me money? Are you saying an impulsively erratic emotionally violent culcha mismanaged it? Say it ain’t so.

Of course he did......
I'm not lawyer (thank God), but I doubt he has any chance at having his conviction overturned.....
Besides, his sorry arse parents need to milk this for donations as long as possible. It's a safe bet that they have that in mind....

Not the least bit surprising.
Metcalf's parents need to file their civil suit immediately since KA's parents are about to start raising money for their home theater and replacement Escalades.,

One of his gofundme pages just just down.

A controversial online fundraiser for Karmelo Anthony has been shut down after his family raised some $630,000 for legal and living expenses now that he was convicted of murder — but his family may still be able to set up a new one.
The GiveSendGo went offline Wednesday afternoon, a day after 19-year-old Anthony was convicted in a Texas courtroom of killing 17-year-old Austin Metcalf at an April 2025 high school track meet.
GiveSendGo – a crowd sourcing platform that differs from GoFundMe in that it allows fundraisers for criminal cases – confirmed the fundraiser closure in a statement to The Post.

Legal Expert Andrew Branca Explain Why the Karmelo Anthony Verdict is Highly Unlikely to be Reversed (VIDEO)
quote:
For anyone who is not aware, Andrew Branca is a lawyer and legal scholar who specializes in cases of self defense. He hosts a regular podcast on the subject and related issues as well as maintaining a blog that addresses the topic.
He has been following the Karmelo Anthony case closely and correctly predicted a guilty verdict. Now that Anthony has been found guilty and sentenced to 35 years, Branca is offering more insight on the case.
This evening, someone sent him a tweet from attorney Robert Barnes, who raised a few questions that he claimed could possibly lead to a reversal. Branca addressed each one, refuting them easily.

I have zero doubt this is a stunt to give the family more donated funds

I still lol at his family fricking him over the first time. Any one with common sense would know that he was in for an uphill battle in court. Very difficult to prove self defense... and instead of getting him a decent lawyer with that money, they spent his defense money on themselves. Was cold blooded and hilarious.

Branca is the bomb, definitely worth following. I hope he's right.

This is the correct answer.
This is about keeping the GoFundMe alive and kicking.

I hope this doesn't start a precedent of parents encouraging their children to repeat these violent acts...for grifting purposes.

You'd think they'd be happy that he has this opportunity to live in a gated community, like the one they spent his loot on to rent a mcmansion.
