Here she is posing on an anti aircraft battery the North Vietnamese said they used to shoot down multiple American planes.

Yeah, she had kids and grew up. She’s a Democrat’s worst nightmare…one who left the plantation and they couldn’t kill.

According to Kennedy, she has always been conservative.

Conservative kids love to party on spring break, too.

As for Hanoi Jane, she earned that nickname and the hatred from our troops. But the story about slips of paper is fake. One of the soldiers supposedly killed is still alive (and received numerous medals and recognition after returning from the war).

Google search specifics on the story and you find out that it is BS. And yes... that story had traction well before the internet was invented. As powerful as the original chain mail letters.

I still think of her as "the virgin Kennedy" from KROQ radio here in LA. I think that she was there at the same time as Jimmy Kimmel.

have never heard that story but if that is true (which I kind of doubt) that is something you should be executed for.

It's seems very specific and not like something a person would just pull out of nowhere.

That’s why she’s called “Hanoi Jane”

She performed for the North Vietnamese army during a tour of Hanoi, I think is why.

She’s an evil commie count regardless

quote:

Near the end of her stay in North Vietnam, Fonda was invited to a press conference with several American POWs. The meeting took place under the surveillance of North Vietnamese officials. During her interview, Fonda introduced herself as a war protestor and then asked the POWs about their health and feelings of safety. Because the POWs responded positively, Fonda considered all to be well with them and reported this when she returned to the United States. Her conviction that the POWs were treated humanely proved detrimental later in her career. After POWs returned home, many reported maltreatment, but Fonda insisted that what she saw was the only truth. On her last day in Hanoi, Fonda’s hosts guided her to a military site. Dressed in Vietnamese-made clothing and a military helmet, Fonda exchanged songs with the Vietnamese soldiers. Afterward she sat in the gunner’s seat of a North Vietnamese antiaircraft gun and, still smiling, viewed antiaircraft military shells. She posed and laughed while seated on an instrument used to destroy U.S. aircraft. On that same day, Fonda also met with several senior North Vietnamese officials, including Foreign Minister Nguyen Duy Trinh. She was allowed to leave the country carrying a twenty-minute film of her visit.

I’m old enough to remember what Hanoi Jane did and I’m disgusted every time I see her picture. I wish she would have stayed there forever, commie bitch.

There is debate about the note but what is not disputable is she met with POWs and told the world they were NOT being mistreated. When the POWs returned home it was revealed that they were in fact being horribly mistreated.

Pardon the pun, bun Kennedy got burned by Karen Bass during and after the Palisades fire. There's no love lost.

Only thing I could find about it and this seems logical.

Mike McGrath, President of NAM-POWs, also stepped forward to disclaim the story: Please excuse the generic response, but I have been swamped with so many e-mails on the subject of the Jane Fonda article (Carrigan, Driscoll, strips of paper, torture and deaths of POWs, etc.) that I have to resort to this pre-scripted rebuttal. The truth is that most of this never happened. This is a hoax story placed on the internet by unknown Fonda haters. No one knows who initiated the story. Please assist by not propagating the story. Fonda did enough bad things to assure her a correct place in the garbage dumps of history. We don't want to be party to false stories, which could be used as an excuse that her real actions didn't really happen either. I have spoken with all the parties named: Carrigan, Driscoll, et al. They all state that this particular internet story is a hoax and they wish to disassociate their names from the false story.

It is absolutely true. I believe the story that some of the prisoners there told after their release and return home.

I really do not doubt it for a second. As I said earlier I had never heard about her basically turning in American POW’s to the Commies. I knew she had went over and basically was a propaganda prop but I had never heard about the POW story somehow.

Let's not go that far. She was really hot about 100 years ago.

I'm ashamed at how much I disliked her when she was on MTV. Seemed snooty and cunty. I had no idea she was snooty and cunty in the best way possible.

Her picture is in many, many VFW Halls across the country. Just go to the restroom and you'll see old Hanoi Jane looking up at you from the urinals.

Many Vietnam veterans, and Vietnam Era Vets, will be lined up to piss on her grave when she finally kicks the bucket!

As a kid of the 70s-80s, I had always heard that story. Apparently it was already an urban legend by then, the internet has just kept it alive.

In 2005, Mike McGrath was the president of NAM-POWs and he issued this statement:

quote:

Please excuse the generic response, but I have been swamped with so many e-mails on the subject of the Jane Fonda article (Carrigan, Driscoll, strips of paper, torture and deaths of POWs, etc.) that I have to resort to this pre-scripted rebuttal. This reiterates the same story told by every single one of the service men named in the story who met with her.

To be fair, I started this post with the intent to disabuse you of your lack of knowledge since I had grown up "knowing" this. Instead, I learned something new and while it isn't as deliciously salacious as the urban myth, I would rather stick with reality rather than confirmation bias.

I'm shocked. I guess I don't keep up, but I would have assumed Kennedy would be a moonbat. Pleasantly surprised.
Complete opposite. She is on the Five fairly regularly and Gutfeld occasionally. I didn't know her until probably The Five. I didn't know about the picture of her naked on a horse when she was on MTV (settle down, not as revealing as one would hope). I think she has her own pod cast. But, she is pretty grounded with a few bazaar ideas but for the most part, she is one of us (if us is not people like the true moonbats on here).

Yep, the same Jane who married Ted Turner, the guy who owned CNN. Can we now officially call it the Communist News Network?

One of my life ambitions is to attend Jane Fonda’s funeral so I’ll have a chance to be among the first to piss on her grave.

The POW note story is absolutely true - both of my older brothers served in Vietnam and my family remembers it well.

The idea that the story is a hoax placed on the internet falls apart since the story was first reported when the POWs returned in the 1970s - the internet was still decades away. Pure revisionist history being regurgitated by useful idiots.
