I previously said she was OK, did a decent job as FL AG. I'd forgotten about some stuff, however. She's now a NOGO for me.

She was FL AG 2011-2019. Rick Scott was Governor for most or all of that time.

After the mass shooting in Parkland she said that it was important to find compromise during a crisis, which is code for violating your rights. This led to raising the age to purchase a firearm in FL from 18 to 21 and established a red flag law in the state. She said she wanted Congress to follow FL's lead on these issues. Rick Scott was onboard with these things as well and Trump wanted him as Senate Majority Leader.

Given her past, she would support red flag laws at the federal level and that is where some particularly crazy stuff comes out, which I've posted about before. And she apparently believes you can vote, join the military, go to war, but cannot have a gun.

Trump said last time, 'Take the guns first, due process second' and now has nominated Bondi for AG. Not a good outlook for the Second Amendment. Trump ought to be talking about demolishing things like the NFA, but he will probably go in the opposite direction.

That’s the problem with having a woman in the spot.

Too emotional when things happen. There are a lot of people to appoint so there will be duds and peoples positions do change but having an anti 2a ag isn’t good. It’s a bit of a surprise since she is from Florida.

Assuming your non linked post is true.

And if it is hopefully she acknowledges that it was a wrong position, as people can evolve.

This can be off set if he puts in Brandon Herrera at ATF.

Americans are not giving up their guns any ways so. Government has clearly shown themselves to be totally untrustworthy re protecting honest and loving folk. The open Border and open jails are proof, as our society becomes more violent by the day. Not to mention the ‘civil war’ thing. Bondi will have plenty to keep her busy without opening a can of worms which would cause MAGA to throw her arse out. Trump too if he goes off the rails. It’s ultimately the masses of strong and smart people that run this Nation and not the Elitist leaders.

She also allowed the Trayvon Martin Hoax to be perpetrated on the American people. TRAGIC pick.

Here's a good explanation:

It's a good thing that the AG doesn't make the laws...

Where did you cut and paste your info from?

And is being a NOGO different from being a Hard No, a No Go, a Nope or anything else?

She sounds like Trump on the 2A, and he's the one doing the picking. That's never been something he's been adamant about and the danger of a populist president. Bondi was swayed by emotion and public sentiment; Trump can be as well when it comes to guns.

I remembered some of that and I still think she's a solid choice, just not perfect. Sorta like Trump.

Well remember Trump banned bump stocks as president. He’s not the most pro 2A Republican president we’ve had. In fact he’s more in line with moderate dems on this. He just doesn’t talk about it.

I’m a huge Trump fan but the by far the most liberal person I’ve ever voted for.

So just becuase a RINO like Romney will vote for her does not make her bad. We need RINO votes, people are being reactionary and ignorant. We have control of the houses and pres, but we still have work to do in the house and senate. So people need to learn the art of pragmatic compromise. 90% of what Trump needs to do in his term is exclusively in the executive branch with very little legislative interaction probably necessary. The 4th branch is sully a subset of the Executive.
