The Holy Bible has verse regarding "lighted chariots in the sky". Ancient art and drawings are known or discovered frequently depicting "airship" or "unknown beings". Even the logs of Columbus mention the underwater activity.

So a couple weeks ago Hal Puthoff said that the government knows of 4 different alien species. He's a spook. Worked for both the NSA and the CIA. And he's "retired." So big deal, right? He didn't have first hand knowledge of these things anyways and he's no longer working for the government.
Now we have a press conference held by the task force for disclosure of government secrets that was hosted by several sitting congressman who have access to the governments files. A bipartisan group of current government officials. And during this press conference it is said by an intelligence officer that the government knows of many different species, from upright bipedal beings to sentient plasmoids. And nobody corrected the record. Instead they nodded their heads in agreement.
Official disclosure has happened, whether the cynical among us want to accept it or not. For better or worse.
Also, it is frickin imbecilic and lazy to say this is because of some frickin movie coming out. This has been building to this for many years now.

It’s fair to question government and whistleblower motives on this.
That said it’s much easier for some people to attack the disclosures due to cognitive dissonance than it is for them to internalize that their entire understanding of the universe is wrong and there are real entities we don’t understand interacting with earth as we speak.

Who ever said this? Instead people have been saying that the governments have known this for 80 years at least.
People have also said that if there were an alien threat, as in an invasion scenario, that humanity would unite. That was a US president that said that.
