Why does the left hate JD Vance?

Their hate for DJT is well documented, it's only been going for ten years now. Ten long insufferable years.
Vance however, I just don't quite get. Just got a meme from my communist cousin which more or less implies that Vance "finished off the Pope." Completely stupid of course. Yet, I can't find the reasons why they're hating on the guy.
Served in the USMC, was deployed. Yeah, a non combat MOS, but deployed in a war zone nonetheless. Well spoken guy, articulates himself well. Doesn't really troll the left on social media like DJT does.
So, what gives with these people?

Because he is in line to continue the trump legacy. That alone makes him the second biggest enemy of the deep state. If they can’t defeat him then they are toast.

Because of Trump. Every policy, program, initiative, person, dog, cat, etc that is involved with Trump will be automatically and reflexively shite on by the left, regardless of merit. It’s been that way for years and it will continue until Trump leaves the stage.

Same with Elon. Everybody loved Trump and they loved Elon until these guys stepped into the political arena. Elon didn't need a position to become hated. Just publicly supporting a side is enough to get you hated by the opposition.
I mean, pick whoever decided they would side with the left and say so publicly and voila, you're automatically hated in our divided country. Just the way it is right now.
I do notice the hate though seems a bit more vitriolic from the left.

Mainly because he's aligned with Trump.
But also because he fits their main hate target group (White, Conservative, Christian, Male) but he just doesn't fit correctly in the box they want him to. He doesn't come from money or family connections, in fact he came from the opposite and overcame adversity to be successful. That's extra annoying because the white privilege narrative kind of relies on pretending Rust Belt/Appalachian/rural white kid problems don't exist. And it's hard to call him racist when he keeps hanging out with his brown wife, their brown kids and her brown family. He gets under their skin and then mocks them for their hypocrisy.
