The establishment thing is laughable. Trump’s team is almost entirely comprised of Bush, Ryan, and McCain staffers. He literally hired Karl Rove as an Advisor in 2020. His Senior Advisor, Chris LaCivita, is good friends with Paul Ryan and ran Ryan’s PAC, for crying out loud. Trump sent his other GOPe Advisor and former Bushie, Susie Wiles, to whip up votes to keep Ronna and McCarthy in power at the start of 2023. Ronna is his girl and is doing his bidding, including using RNC money to pay his legal bills. He put Lindsey Graham in charge of overseeing his campaign operation in South Carolina and has fully embraced him. Trump is the establishment.

If Trump is so deeply enmeshed in “the establishment” then why is the establishment willing to go to extents never before seen in modern American political history to derail and destroy him? I still haven’t seen any reasonable explanation of how all of that reconciles.
