Cleveland

This is a good one. Dan Gilbert pumped a ton of money into downtown when he bought the Cavs and it is noticeably nicer now than it was 20 years ago.

Just don't go anywhere near Euclid or East Cleveland.

Pittsburgh definitely is. My peeps.

Pittsburg is no longer responding to emergency calls where a suspect may be on scene, any crime where a person may need medical aid, any domestic dispute, calls with evidence, or where the Mobile Crime Unit will be requested to process a scene.

Cities for the most part are absolutely dying.

I disagree with all your incontrovertible facts and offer weak personal anecdotes instead. Besides, I thought we were talking about Pittsburg, Kansas.

A lot of people don't realize how big it is until they visit. The Detroit area sprawls over 4 or so counties. Ford , GM, and Stellantis still do most of their corporate and research functions in suburbs like Dearborn, Auburn Hills, or Livonia. There's a lot of healthcare, finance and IT there too.Detroit is the second biggest MSA in the Midwest after Chicago. It's bigger than Seattle and Denver.

Detroit is not making a comeback unless there is a huge demographic switch. Otherwise, nothing will ever change.

This is biased, but if it weren't for the weather (obviously cant help that) it would be one of my favorite cities in the country, I spent a lot of time there, mostly in the winter. The two week period I spent in the summer was awesome. It helped that I was in Shadyside. Great neighborhood.

Denham Springs. It was the place to be in the 90s, took a dip with growing too fast, but is really starting to rock and roll.
