ETA: and to incarcerate people. And to run the courts.
I understand your point, but those are either emergency services or services related to providing constitutional rights.
Compulsory mass public education is none of those things, and in fact, IMO the compulsory part is unconstitutional.

90% of the stuff you learn and use in your lifetime will be stuff you learned post secondnary education.
Well, you learn to read in elementary school.
I would say that's the biggie. As in, the all-time GOAT of educational milestones.
A distant second (although still a biggie) would be learning basic math.

She has an inferiority complex, a narrow-minded view of the world, and too much time to sit around and think about how everyone would be better off if they believed what she believes.

Fair is fair. My kids are going to private school yet I'm paying for other people's kids to go to public school at the same time. That's not right.
Oh, bullshite.
That's like hiring a bodyguard and then claiming you shouldn't be taxed to pay for the local police.

you are so dramatic. I asked if we can be considered pro-life if we don’t want ensure all kids have access to food over the summer.
Drama Queen.
Don't look now, but what you actually asked is much worse than what he accused you of doing.

Obviously yes. Can one oppose murdering babies while opposing government handouts? Well, yes.

But he’s a welfare queen who happily accepts taxpayer handouts and is crying about maybe spending some money for a kid to attend school via the taxes that fund his lifestyle.
He's a veteran who served his country.
I disagree with him that taxpayers who don't have children in school shouldn't have to pay taxes if the electorate has put representatives in place who have seen fit to exercise their representation by establishing public schools—on the basis of the idea that just because there are far more roads in my state that I will never drive on than those that I will, that doesn't mean I should only have to pay a prorated tax to only pay for the ones I will drive on—but you've no business insulting him for serving in our armed forces.
It's a really low-rent move, if you want to know the truth.

It's funny that you ALWAYS fall back on this crutch when your stupidity gets in the way of you defending a point. And yes, it's ALWAYS noticeable.

She's actually, a good representation of what we are dealing with at election time. A person who cares more about what the politicians tell her the policy will do, and less about the actual result of those policies. You give her a piece of legislation or a cause with a emotional name to it, as long as the media or uninformed masses tells her it's good because of the catchy name, her type supports it.
Such great phrases like:
Gender Affirming Care
Affordable Care Act
People like here jump at these phrases because, if it says "care" in the name, then who could be against it. Now those 2 things in practice are both horrific and damaging to those forced onto it. But, do people like her care about the actual result of their choices? Why would they? They already virtue signaled their compassion to the world. Let the poor saps that have to deal with these things figure out how to live with it.
I am curious of 4cubbies feelings on the 2 mentioned above. I'd hope she would prove me wrong and tell me she is against both of these measures. We'll see.

I don't know that I made the point that I should have to pay nothing if anyone else does. In a perfect world, none of us would pay anything into a federally funded education system because I think what we have is complete trash. We don't live in that world.
I don't get a tax credit if I decide to use a road that you don't use. It's a not so indirect subsidization. I pay disproportionately more for public education than parents do, and the return on that investment is absolutely abysmal.

Another decent man checking into share his opinions about the topic of this thread
The fact that words on a screen get you this emotionally charged is really something. You made a lot of accusations about me because you don’t like my opinions on school vouchers.
