Yeah, but the characters in at least the first two American Pies aren’t rewarded for their disgusting behavior. It’s called out and they suffer the consequences for them.
The Nerds though are non-ironically presented as outright heroes, when they are hardcore degenerates and criminals. I’m supposed to be rooting against the Alphas in all this shite when the hero is an outright rapist and the entire fraternity conspired to have cameras spying on all the naked girls? Yeah I know with the later American Pie does something somewhat similar, but not to near the degree and Jim fricking pays for it.

I never got that offended about the American Pie stuff b/c what happens to Nadia happens to Jim, too. Like you said, he was immediately punished and that was the larger point of saying, "This is bad. Don't do this".

Was a sophomore in hs when it came out and my dad and I went and saw it in theatre opening weekend and laughed our asses off. I remember a group of seniors were sitting in the row in front of us and I walked out before the credits rolled because I didn’t wanna be seen at the movies with a parent lol. Dad was cool about it
Superbad came during the great 2000s run of comedies. Knocked up, Superbad, the hangover, Role Models, Tropic Thunder, etc. 2000-2009 was arguably the GOAT run for comedies. It’s been all down hill since. Superbad, wedding crashers, and old school are the hardest I’ve ever laughed in theatre

Great movie. And out of all the funny scenes, some reason the scene where they are at the diner and he sends back the food makes me hysterically laugh every time.
Then when he says "It's good" and his face and the other guy says "nice guy" I lose it.

I’m in my early 50s and can say everything mentioned is great with one exception. Napoleon Dynamite. I don’t get it. Couple of laughs but meh. Tried sober, stoned, drunk. Don’t get it.

I don't like it that much. Jonah Hill's character is so stressed and flipping out angry yelling at everyone the whole movie. It's just not fun. It's a shite vibe.
