Neo Beach

I remember going there once after my divorce in the 90s. You could smell the Exctasy, cocaine and herpes.

Used to hang out at Philip’s Uptown, F&M’s, and Lucy’s back then.

Had lunch in downtown LFT today and passed by the old strip after. What a sad sight to see all those buildings boarded up and falling apart.

We left Baton Rouge for the Strip many times in the early 90s. Mako's was the place to be on Fridays for that $5 all you could drink beer or hurricanes deal.

The He-Man Woman-Haters Club was a neighborhood boys club founded by Spanky and compromising nearly all the boys in the club. Spanky founded the exclusive club as a defense against girls and Valentine's Day

I remember thinking if I had this, I’d arrived. Although, without being able to reach the pedals or drive, I convinced myself that wasteful spending on something I wanted but didn’t need was frivolous and irresponsible. Especially with what it would cost to do blow a decade later at LSU.
