In March, for the first time in this govt's history, they asked the UN food program for powdered milk to feed kids. This one fact is VERY telling.

The govt official exchange rate is 24 pesos to one US dollar, the real rate is closer to 320 pesos to US dollar. So most people use US dollars which further drives the exchange rate.

Inflation is, as expected, terrible, and importing US dollars, you import the inflation as well.

They have cut those qualifying for monthly rations of food.

The price of gas has been raised 5 times this year.

They have planned blackouts every day.

And while we give aid packages to Taiwan, China is snuggling up to Cuba.
Hmmmm its like deja vu all over again.

I wonder how it would look if the US didn’t maintain its ridiculous trade embargo?

Maybe the Biden Admin should visit Cuba to see our future.

Communism always fails to care for citizens..

So what? We have assets and allies that encircle China. It is called containment. People in this country worry about a foreign power when it is the Lying Media (MSM) that is our enemy.

One recently did a very revealing story on Cuba.
It was astounding how these people live

Food rations that were pathetic

There’s a reason that all men in Cuba are mechanics , plumbers, electricians and carpenters

No a/c
Plumbing that was patchwork at best.
Cars so old that they wouldn’t be allowed on our roads
Infrastructure decayed to dirt

Despite that, there was a fairly strong sense of community. They seemed joined by their collective misery.

Cuba

Could be a beautiful Island.

An American influence of the right type could be huge. Look at the difference in the D.R. and Haiti.

Mexico hates us, they open their southern border to the worst of the worse and they waltz right in yet, millions of American vacation there every year.

When countries can no longer provide a platform for growth and prisons are over run, politicians do unthinkable things.

WE have to stop picking winners and losers.

Hell, what do I know, I'm just an ole country boy trying to eke out a living before I buy the farm.

What a waste.

Why should I care about or be concerned about Cuba?

Don't care. They asked for their communist paradise.

If the Bolshevik Dems stay in power, that is where we will find ourselves.

The UN and nestle are responsible for tens of thousands of child deaths due to powdered milk

The future isn’t looking good either. 10% of the workface aged population has left for other countries in the last 2 years I think.

It's been less than ideal since Castro took over in the early 60's.

There have been many hard times in Cuba but the leaders would never ask for food aid because it would be admitting that communism fails. Today there is some private enterprise going on in Cuba. Home owners are allowed to do bed and breakfast rooms for tourists. They are higher quality than hotels because home owners are competing with other home owners. Hotels don't compete. They get the same payment from govt whether they have tourists are not. So they don't give a shite if you like your room.
