I just don’t think Willie or Griffin will trade Ingram

So say we get a healthy season from Zion. What could we get for him?

How about in April? Will it be fun then?

Should we sticky it again or nah?

I don’t think it’s “blowing it up” as long as we keep Z/Herb/Trey. Everybody else is and should be expendable

Nobody plays both sides of the fence then comes out and claims he was correct better than Bunchie!!!

we’re not pessimists. We’re just realistic and don’t let our fandom get in the way of reality and analyzing this team.

Did Bunchie claim he didn't mean it and was just doing a reverse jinx yet?

quote:

No. I meant it. That was the “controversial” take I was going to post before the season.

Winning or losing singular games isn’t going to do it. This roster we are locked in on just isn’t going to cut it.

Anyone that knows me knows I’ve had this opinion about this team for awhile. I just have no faith in them at all and pretty much hate Ingram at this point.

Never for even a second played both sides of the fence in this particular thread. This was my honest opinion on this team.

I have had this general opinion for awhile. Sometimes I frick around, but I have said all season that for a winning Pelicans/Hornets team, I have watched this team by far the least.

Never truly believed in them, and they annoyed me.

When they beat up on horrible teams and were rolling, I doubted myself at times and wanted to believe, but never did.

But they were what they were.

So you think it's not playing both sides of the fence to have takes that run counter to one another in separate threads?

Something tells me you put the "in this particular thread" quote in there because you knew you've said otherwise in another thread...why else would you word it that way...

Just a few days ago, you said otherwise. But as you stated, it was in a different thread, so I guess it doesn't count.

Just went through 10 pages of my past posts and can't find what you are referring to, virtually all of them were mostly echoing these sentiments.

Can you show me my moment of optimism/weakness?

Zion got hurt so you get to be right. Congrats. I don't know that trading ingram and firing willie would be blowing up much of anything.

We won 49 games and Zion got hurt right before the playoffs. Was all nba level before the injury.

So I don't think this thread is as big of a "gotcha" as you think it is

That wasn't the point.

Whether Zion is injured or not, this team doesn't fit.

CJ/BI/Zion are negative in +/- when on the floor together

Sure, but I'd point out again, you specifically mentioned "in this particular thread" because you knew you likely had some contradictory comments out there in other threads, correct?

Bunchie in this OP: I'm saying we should blow it

Bunchie in this post: I'm not saying we should blow it up

That's pretty textbook, man. "I'm saying it" vs "I'm not saying it..." It can only be 1, it can't be both.

I know, but i don't think your point of blowing it up is the same as moving on from willie and Ingram. Blowing it up to me is trading everyone not named Zion and that ain't happening.

Ingram aside, CJ is a far more effective, near elite player on offense with Zion running the show. We can agree that personnel needs to change, but any team missing their star player would've most likely been swept rd 1 by the Thunder.

The Suns had Booker and Durant and got swept.
Take ant off the wolves and they'd get maybe one game off the Thunder
Take jokic off the nuggets, maybe one game off the Thunder.

Team didn't fit because our main puzzle piece was on the bench. Again.

That thread was designed to play both sides, because it was a devil's advocate thread designed to get arguments for both sides of an issue.

I literally say "not saying we are or should" because that's what that thread was designed for, me to not give my opinion fully on it

AND directly after that I am clearly softly advocating for a bigger rebuild than just BI being moved.

Other than the front office change, I wouldn’t call trading BI and CJ blowing it up.
I think it’s rather obvious at least one needs to go.

It’s not like we have to trade them and lose the trade. We the assets to make our team better. Problem is we have a dumbass for a GM.

i can’t call a good regular season player that always disappears in playoffs near elite.

We probably get Gentlemen’s swept if Zion played tbh.

I mean you might as well keep the all nba defender who also shoots 40% from three.
