I’m talking about blowing up an extremely poorly constructed team to make it better.

I thought that was obvious.

You know better.

Just admit you got emotional and overreacted instead of digging in.

You’re talking about doing something we all expect to happen if the team doesn’t have a decently deep playoff run. I don’t see why we’re discussing it during game 4 of 82

Yeah to see these people tripping over a loss and then tonight so early in the year when there is a LOOOOOOOOONG way to go is hilarious.

Can we at least get 20 in (or the first true major injury) before we really start judging the team?

Actually, it’s Gayle, but I disagree. It starts with Lauscha and he’s there only to squeeze as much as he can out of the pels. They were very quietly up for sale the last few years. I’ve heard they have since abandoned that plan. Maybe they can refocus and build a winner around Zion but history tends to repeat itself around here.

Sure. We’ll just snap our fingers and come up with your ideal FO and coach. They’re dozens out there for the taking.

Let's revisit this thread in February around the trade deadline.

Right now this board has so much PTSD from last season, and I don't really blame posters for being super pissed. I'm just not ready to admit that this season and this team as constructed cannot compete when healthy.

When healthy is the fricking most used term here for the sunshine guys, and I get it. It's kinda bullshite.

But Zion hasn't been hurt.
CJ had a freak injury and may be back by the end of the month
B.I. missed time but we all thought it would be much longer than what he has missed
We're getting Jose and Trey back by beginning of November.
Dyson is improved
Hawkins may be a legit hit

I'm just not ready to say oh it's all over. Because we're 4-4. That ain't the end of the world considering how shitty our injury luck has been

They’ll get beat up in November and then go on a tear in December. People will laugh at how most overreacted after 3.25 fricking games.

The big question is still will BI do what he needs to do to fit this team. If not you absolutely need to trade him.

In the December run last year Zion, Jose and Larry were your 3 best players most nights. So they don't need a star return as long as Zion stays healthy.

I want mikal bridges. And I'd sell parts of Dyson Hawkins and maybe even trey with B.I to get him. Along with the Laker first

wait what? You'd trade all of that for Bridges? That's insane.

No not all that. Pieces of it. And you'd probably get at worst a really good backup player to go with Bridges here.

My buddy text me this trade earlier:

quote:

Ok so idea (might be a bad one):

Pels get: Mikal Bridges, Jarrett Allen, Georges Niang
Nets get: Jonas, Dean Wade, 1st round picks
Cavs get: Brandon Ingram

Hes got the right idea but it's a terrible trade for the Nets imo, and the cavs probably need more too.

This is easily the most insane take I’ve ever seen
