Ah yes… the Burger King of coffee!

I used to go religiously every morning on my way to work. I dropped them like a bad habit when they drifted into politics and punished their employees for running vagrants out of stores. I haven’t been back in years.

Interesting Howard Schulz is bitching about stores needing to focus on the customer experience. He shut down stores and facilitated mandatory sensitivity training for employees so they wouldn’t run the homeless non-paying customers off.

Howard Schultz and Starbucks can go to hell.

Home? US?

The same Schultz that vowed "We will hire 10,000 refugees"?

Their coffee is disgustingly unpalatable. They don't roast beans, they torture them until scorched. Licking the bottom of a shoe would probably taste better.

The only time I've had Starbucks in the past three years was when I bought a car from my nephew. He left a gift card in the car, which I enjoyed to the tune of 20-25 dollars. Didn't go very far.

They're struggling? Every time I drive by my local one it has a line of people waiting for their $9 milkshake.

This. It could 7PM and there's still going to be a line in the drive thru.

I bought a bag of Verona on quick sale at grocery bc Community wasn’t on sale. It was awful. I used to enjoy it. I don’t know if it was old and that’s why the quick sale or of their coffee is bad now that I’m drinking Community. Tasted burned although drinking immediately.

Order a Blonde to get their milder roast. They’ll groan and say you’ll have to wait for a pour over and hope you’ll change your mind. I still don’t know exactly what a pour over is but I think it involves pouring hot water over ground coffee. I’m sure they go back to the kibbutz at night and complain about it to their partner.

I never get anything there, my wife however loves the place. It’s 5 minutes from the house and frequently when she orders something it’s a 10 minute wait after we get there. Always cars in the drive through, and people walking in and out for pick up orders.

I’m sure some don’t do well, but every one I’ve seen for years is busy. Some of the copycats that have popped up I drive by and rarely see a line at their drive through.

Blonde is the only good roast they have, rest are burnt (obviously other than their specialty one offs).

Yep, it's basically a manual version of your drip with easier access for the water to go through.

I love their nitro cold brew but their baristas are rarely cute anymore and very few of their locations are swanky anymore

A trans barista spilled an iced venti latte on my PFG and I vowed to never go back. I stick to home coffee and gas stations.

I think Starbucks sucks. I've only had it twice, once years ago when they opened a new location near my house, and another time on the concourse at JFK when waiting on a flight.

I've read that if you are dropped anywhere in Manhattan, you would be within two blocks of a Starbucks.

Anecdotal, but the last time I went to a Starbucks, it took nearly 30 minutes to get a black coffee. I don’t plan on going back.

A triple (not saying grande when I order) espresso over ice is a damn solid drink. No cream, no sugar…just glorious espresso. Starbucks makes s damn fine one.

Shutup Howie

If you have anything to contribute about the Company that made you wealthy, have the professional good form to share it privately with your managerial successors there.

Jeez.

Starbucks is coffee for soccer moms who want to impress people by what coffee they buy.
