The AP article was about people's opinions of what Trump means when he says " It's about states rights." In other words, he was saying it was not the a federal decision.
Trump repeated his catchall states-rights response when asked if states should monitor women’s pregnancies so the government would know if they had an abortion."
This statement mmmmbeer just had to post , is just a 'gotcha' question that was asked to Trump, and he just said "states' rights". It is then written to look like Trump actually said the question being asked.

Sad

Regardless of what anyone personally believes about abortion, everyone should agree that video is about as dumb as possible.

I wish Gavin cared as much about the homeless and exploited women on the streets of Oakland as he does about a theoretical woman in Alabama. But that doesn’t make for good political fodder. frick all politicians…him, Biden,Trump…they are all exactly the same.

PS-Abortion is an issue that has been left unsettled because it guarantees we all show up to vote and keeps us all divided. Emotional low hanging fruit.

What's sad is that the mindless people who vote for the Gavin Newsome's of the world actually think this is how the world is.

These people can not be fixed or "re-educated" their minds are gone like a fart in the wind.

This is a by-product of leftist policy

You might want to read what Trump just said to Time magazine about red states being given the power to track a woman's pregnancy to ensure she doesn't get an abortion, which would be criminal even beyond state borders.

"When asked if he would veto a bill that would impose a federal ban, he reiterated “it’s about states rights” and said “there will never be that chance” because Republicans, even if they take back the Senate in November, would not have the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster and bring the bill to a vote.

Trump repeated his catchall states-rights response when asked if states should monitor women’s pregnancies so the government would know if they had an abortion."

what aspect am i supposed to be upset about? that Trump said that? that he repeated it? that he’ll let the state’s decide?

i know all 3 have you pissing in your pants, but for the rest of us, why should we care?

it takes years of brainwashing to achieve this accumulation of Leftist talking points boiled down into one paragraph. bravo, mmmmmmcreampie.

not everyone’s daughter needs to use abortions as a form of taxpayer funded contraception.

I don't like the idea of abortion but I am a man so it is unlikely to something i have to consider.

My take is this....if we ban abortions for any reason, are we going to force men to support their offspring? Seriously, if we are going to force women to bring kids into the world everytime they get knocked up we should force the father to support the kid. If they don't have the money...all of it, not some silly amount ordered by a male judge, toss them in jail and force them into labor until they pay for the kid and the cost of their own confinement. 40 or so years ought to do it......no man I ever met who was dead set against abortion thought it a good idea to arrest men and sentence them to a life of labor and confinement....strange that.

I think it's revealing how readily these people adopt the mantle of flat-out Satanism as a tactic to win political victories. I mean, they could have called their religion the "Church of Humanism" or just declared themselves to be some denomination of Universalism and that wouldn't have conflicted at all with their belief system. And yet they chose Satan.

Of course, they tell us that they don't actually believe in or worship a supernatural goat-being with a tail and a pitchfork, but if you're not Satanists why call yourselves that?

It just reinforces something I've come to believe over time, which is that, if the Bible isn't literally true, as translated, word for word, it might as well be. The impact on my life of whether, say, Onan was really struck down for humping a rock, or whether a guy really got swallowed by a whale, is zero.

You have people who put faith in that Holy Bible (not rational belief... faith) and people who don't, and the latter are generally miserable, unattractive, and living in squalor (ETA case in point: Shreveport). The former are imperfect, but they're what we were when things were better. They at least agree "Satanism is bad," and we had a better nation when that was the strong consensus.
